I'm not exactly sure but are borders the same as they are in Civ3, are directly related with cultrue, so if one city increases a cultrue the border increases, or is it different in Civ4

The 'good' thing is that the AI now has to respect your borders by the sounds - either they negotiate an open-borders agreement, or any trespass is considered an act of war! PriestOfDiscord May 19, 2005, 07:33 PM I haven't seen anything that would lead me to believe the culture = borders effect has changed. Though now that you bring it up, a cool idea for a great wonder would be something that increases the border size of all your cities by 1 larger than it would normally be. I wonder what a good name for it would be. Lebensraum, perhaps? oldStatesman May 20, 2005, 11:57 AM I don't think I've seen anything definitive, which makes me think that it proably has been retained in the Civ-3 form. I'm confused by this - isn't that how it works now? The only difference I see is in Civ3 it may take a few turns to get to the option where they must withdraw or declare war....did they just simplify it by eliminating the 'warning" shot? Snicker May 20, 2005, 12:32 PM I hope they respect the borders much more now than in civ3, I HATE when they just walk over my land to deploy a settlers in the middle of my country or on the little spot on the other side of the continent where my borders havent reached yet. So they eat a great piece of my land. Grr... -Snicker- Communisto May 20, 2005, 04:00 PM i completely agree with you Snicker that is my bigest rage in Civ3 |
