Not to knock on the developers great accomplishment of what has been already, wonderfully produced...

but I am wondering if its too late to add an option, to be able to change the 3 giant elephants or archers in to something more ant like and proportioned to the buildings...(even if they can come in the thousands!)

if the abilitly to see the units comprimises that, why cant the flags be more diverse and stand out more, so the units can be identified.

awesome idea of being able to change to classic civ 3 or 2 mode!!!!

gREAT STUFF!!!! TIME TO BUILDING A NEW MACHINE!!!!!

Uh the reason certian units look so big is due to the angle and view of the screen shot. If you were to look at a screen shot from Civ2/3 view it would a little biger but would be closer to porportionial.

You mean a "horde of ant sized people" option?

IMHO, I'll never use it. Tiny dots that are different colors and are everywhere hurt my eyes.

alot of people don't like the current proportions, I believe there is also a thread on thatone. 50-65% of the current would be great, but make them all to tiny and you won't know what you actualy have infront of you. but then again, was civ ever about graphics? mabe a horde of ant sized guys would be ok aslong as you have a sidebar with the contents of the square (we all have that 40inch lcd right?).

The units have to be big enough so that you can see them... It's 3D, and like the screenshots showed, even things like trees are 3D, not flat -- it's a 3D egine. Do you really want units to be hidden in the trees? Not too fun when trying to look for them... or when you can't see that barb next to your city.
