...a video. Im trying to take a screenshot of a music video from yahoo.com (its all in windows media format) and everytime i paste it into paint i get black where the screen should be.
Help a dummy out...

I don't think it's possible. But you could get a camera and take a picture of your monitor.

I beleve if you go under tools/options and select the performance tab and lower the video acceleration to the middle area would work.

Some video players have a screen grab button to allow you to take pictures.

Doesn't "Print Screen" work?
Press Print Screen, then in Paint do "Paste".

I think thats what he tried.
I rember pressing Print Screen to get some pictures out a Rome: Total War wonder movie and I just got a black box.

PRINT SCREEN does not work because
... the videos are HARDWARE ACCELERATED.
Solution: It will work as soon as you deactivate Hardware Acceleration in the player, just as CivGeneral said - to be more precise, not only middle, if you do not see a switch turn hardware acceleration off, turn it all down.
You have the same problems if you try to show a windows media player video on a beamer, they get a funny black screen... simply switch hardware acceleration off.
