I have looked through the board and have not seen this issue mentioned:

I am unable to install. Begin installation and
immediately recieve the following error message:

"Setup failed to launch installation engine
Error loading type library/DLL"

I contacted tech "support" and got back a form letter e-mail that said to try the following:
1) Delete the folder C:\Program Files\Common
Files\InstallShield\Engine\6\Intel 32

This didn't help so tried next suggestion:
2) Clean out the temp folder.

3) Disable 3rd party apps.

Nothing helped. I have gotten the game to install on my ancient laptop, but it doesn't have enough horsepower to run it.

I have a CD-RW on this machine. Could I be having problems with the copy protection?

It’s probably a copy protection issue with your drive. Try to install the game with another drive.
