Here's what each team should be discussing at the moment:
1. *Team Name
2. *In-Game Civilization (Top 5 civs, where only three can be agricultural (and only two can be in the top 3).)

4. *E-mail Address(es) (Are you going to have a team address, or are you going to use a personal address? Whatever the choice, try to keep it down to one or two.)

When the different items go to polling (admin confirmation poll, rule amendments, etc.) Ginger_Ale or myself will post the poll in the public UN forum. The UN rep will in turn post the same poll in their team's private forum (private forum pending TF's approval). After their team has made their decision, the UN rep will go back to the UN poll, vote, and post their team's decision. This way each team's vote is equal, and things don't get messy.

Hi! Well i was an active member of the last DemoGame and i post in the Civ3 forums and Collessum as well. I believe i recognize you from OT. I don't post that much there, so that's why you probably don't recognize me. I'm ready to go and win this game. :)

For a list of civs (in no particular order):

Before we decide civs we should probably want to know they type of world we'll be playing on. We don't want to be the Vikings playing on a Pangea map for instance.

For civs I would suggest:

I've just been added to this team. I'm generally most active in the SG forum and the demogame forum, and I also participate in discussions in the three top Civ3 forums. I'll be pretty inactive until mid-August.

I updated the first post with a better to-do list (numbered for ease of answering), and the current standings for the civs. I think we should take the top 5 civs when everyone has posted what they want.

Here is my attempt at the to-do list:

5. We elect one person that plays, but we talk about everything else.
6. We're going to need to vote on this one, should probably be the person that plays the turns.

4. I was thinking using 2 of our e-mail addresses. One as the main one, and one as a backup.
5. We should do it like the DemoGame with a president. We probably don't need other positions, unless we pass double digits for our team
6. I'm not sure what this is (person who does out-of game diplomacy?), but i think they should be seperate from the president.

btw, i think we should have elections for the positions every 30 turns or so.

Please think of, at the very least, a team name and a list of your top 3 civs (only 2 of them can be AGR.)

For the Title of our civ we could use "Ruler of the World". :D

If we really needed a team name, I could generate somthing with a password generater. We could also to the same with Ruler/anything else.

As far as the civ goes, I like Greece and Persia. Green borders always instill fear in opponents. It'd be nice to have a team name that goes along with this in some fashion (either the Civ or the Color), so maybe The Green Beans?

Hey Xerol, could you come up with a list of 5 civs to make it so I can tally them. Also I think we can choose our team color, so we could still be green.

Once all teams have come up with a team name, then we will get private forums from Thunderfall. This is your incentive to come up with a team name QUICKLY!

No point in being The Geeks and playing the Greeks if we want to conquer the world. (Yeah, I know the Greeks can do that but why use Hoplites when you can use Cosssacks or Panzers?!?)

Our civ can have nothing to do with our team name. Also we are probably going to do the best in the Ancient Age, so we should try and eliminate the most people there so a good offense AA UU would be good. Hoplites would be fine to defend our Swordsmen SOD. Just throwing ideas out.

Right now it looks as if I'm going to talley up everybodys vote and then vote for the majority, in the case of the polls. For Team Name/Other team spicific stuff (like #1-4) I will tell the admins through PMs.

Hello. Ive never done anything with the DG before , but i am in a few Sg's played in sgotm 5 , and am active in the NES forums. This looked very fun and cant pass up a multiplayer game ;) .

I'm going to be the UN guy at least until we get a private forum and have a real vote on it, unless anyone is strongly against this.

All of these are pretty good civs, some are slightly better for MP then others, but I'm happy with the selection.
