It seems that all the other teams have gmail accounts. I don't know how to get one; apparently, Ginger Ale has invites, but he's on vacation for over a month. So should we just sign up for an account from hotmail, yahoo, or the like, or can we get one from somewhere else, or what?

I've got a bunch of invites as well. Give me your e-mail address, and I'll send one to you so you can set one up for the team (we don't want to look too suspicious to the good folks at Google).

By the way, if anyone else wants one for private use, I've got a ton of these invites. Post or PM your e-mail address to me if you want one. :)

Do we want to forward the save, and will these gmail accounts do auto-forward? Or do we just use web access and don't delete turns until at least the next one has come?

You don't need to delete saves with a gmail account!! I would say to keep all saves on the gmail server, so that we can use it as our 'team-database'.

Well, we could start if one of the teams would supply us an e-mail address...

I set up a Gmail account for the saves, so that the game can start as soon as possible. We shouldn't be holding the game already!

I don't really know all the rules with this server, so gmail may be better, but I thought it would be cool to have a personal address.

Edit: maybe use one email for our admins, and the other for everyone else in case something gets deleted by mistake.

OK, Gmail has a cool function to automatically foward email while keeping it in the inbox. I just set it up to copy homerj@simpsons.com so everyone PLEASE use the homerj@simpsons.com email address site to check for any incomming messages, and whoever our leaders are please change the password on our GMAIL site JIC - we don't want anything deleted by mistake.

If you want to get to the simpsons.com email, just go to www.simpsons.com and up at the top where it says inbox, type homerj for the user and use the drop-down box to pick simpsons.com then the password of course.
