Anyone know if they've changed it so you can share roads with those who are at peace with you?

It's SAD that you have to go to war against a friend if you want to travel on YOUR OWN road while they're travelling along the same road.

Yes, I've done this... I had a mass of troops at one end of my nation that needed to get to a new war front but were blocked by friendly travellers. So since I had SO many units being held up... I had to kill the innocent travellers to get the rest on their way to where they needed to be.

I think that if you are peaceful with another nation and you are travelling THROUGH a tile that they occupy you should be able to do so.

as far as i know..they havent really discused much about what will happen with RoP's in this game. i know that they cant enter without one..thats it

I guess that means that we will be able to make ROP agreements much earlier in the game now.

They keep talking about trade routes and shipping routes and such... do you think they are going to have moving characters that represent trade?

once again..i think this info is a dead area ...i dont know if too much has been discused on this..and i havent really thought of it but RoP's would have to come earlier..because entering anothers territory would be an act of war now....soo id imagine they wouldnt land lock you untill super late in the game

Thank God! This is one of those great SMAC features that they didn't include in Civ III. You could also move through their bases (that's their cities, for the uninitiated) and heal there!
