Matters Under discussion at The U.N.:

fe3333au Jul 28, 2005, 11:09 AM So Capt :salute:
Can I request ... and only if you think it's a good idea ... that we have our own stickied Absentee thread :salute:

Oh crap. I have posted in that thread. All my comments were jovial and gave nothing away.
ybbor Jul 29, 2005, 11:37 AM Oh crap. I have posted in that thread. All my comments were jovial and gave nothing away.
at the same time you lied. WE really need to keep that to a minimum when the teams really find our place, and see we lied.
wahtever, at the same time, its not like we gave away battle plans or anything. an in any case, don't edit the post, or they'll notice something's up.
peter grimes Jul 31, 2005, 11:28 PM I came across something that I think we should discuss: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=125204
I don't think we should have to reveal who holds which position, or even what positions our civ mandates, until contact is made in game. I would humbly ask that our UNrep lobby for nondisclosure; or at least voluntary disclosure.
Of course, the other team will know at a minimum who our DP is and our UNrep. But I think all else should remain undisclosed at our discretion.
fe3333au Aug 01, 2005, 02:56 AM Speaking of team positions ... I have noticed for sometime that Naimyth seems to have taken our team name literally  ... as he is a 21st july newbie  he may not be aware of our location so I took the liberty of PMing him.
@Grimesy ... I totally agree with your sentiments ... only citizens should know our internal workings ...
ybbor Aug 01, 2005, 08:30 AM I came across something that I think we should discuss: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=125204

well, personally I don't see what harm there is in telling people we have a domestic minister, it's not going to change anything. At the same time I see no reason to tell others of the dynamics of our team.
I see no reason to lobby for anything. Right now it looks like there's little support for it, and telling people we don't want them to understand how our team works might make them feel like we're hiding something.
classical_hero Aug 01, 2005, 08:51 AM I think that you can remove the gag order. That issue is dead and buried. I am surprised that you took that issue so seriously.
ybbor Aug 01, 2005, 09:06 AM I think that you can remove the gag order.
oops  I thought I already had.
fe3333au Aug 01, 2005, 09:07 AM remove the gag or not ... we havn't met anyone yet ... so we shouldn't share information :nono:
classical_hero Aug 01, 2005, 09:19 AM remove the gag or not ... we havn't met anyone yet ... so we shouldn't share information :nono:
Anyone who share sensitive infomation will be booted out of the team.
fe3333au Aug 01, 2005, 09:28 AM Can we poke them with very pointed sticks first Mr. Prezident Sir :worship: ... Oh and can we post the Constitution :D
classical_hero Aug 01, 2005, 09:36 AM have a look and see for yourself.
Kentharu Aug 01, 2005, 09:38 AM could you define "sensitive information" (the term seems a bit) loose or is it in the constitution if so ill go check
ybbor Aug 01, 2005, 09:52 AM could you define "sensitive information" (the term seems a bit) loose or is it in the constitution if so ill go check
anything that can realistically be percieved to cause harm to the team if it is revealed.
When in doubt, think you would want thwe admins to know what you're sharing. then shut up.
classical_hero Aug 01, 2005, 10:10 AM Well we need to work on that issue.
peter grimes Aug 01, 2005, 10:18 AM I don't think we need a formal 'law' or anything, just a common-sense guide. I think a good rule of thumb might be No Discussion of Game Details with a citizen of another civ (or something along those lines) . That's the foreign minister's job, and the team captain's job. And definitely no discussion until in-game contact.
Thoughts?
fe3333au Aug 01, 2005, 10:19 AM Not sure I understand the issue  ...
As per our own constitution, the designated Team Captain should be the only person to post on the UN thread ... Am I correct ???
And the UN Thread is defined as anything out of the Team M.I.A. thread ... Correct ???

anyone can post in the U.N. thread, but the team captain is the only person who can make decsions in the U.N. thread on behalf of the team (i.e. when we decide to amend the ruleset; have a new admin, decide world settings; etc.
peter grimes Aug 01, 2005, 10:25 AM the UN Thread is defined as anything out of the Team M.I.A. thread ... Correct ???
I like that. Nice and simple.

That is not correct, otherwise the DP cannot post in the save thread, which is a must for the team.
fe3333au Aug 01, 2005, 10:49 AM That is not correct, otherwise the DP cannot post in the save thread, which is a must for the team.
OK ... and foreign missions instigated by the Foreign Minister too I suppose ...
However I am talking about our elected official being the only person who should be commenting on questions posed by other teams (and individuals) in the UN, which concern the running of or information about team MIA ...
peter grimes Aug 01, 2005, 01:04 PM @fe3333au: What a great segue...
I was just about to comment on something in the UN.
Check out the team vote thread http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=125264
Purpose: To prevent the use of outside game elements to break the spirit of the game by allowing someone to outright cheat.
I think the use of the spreadsheet does not violate the spirit or the letter of the law. Therefore spreadsheets should be allowed, but maybe each one should be approved by the UN before use.
fe3333au Aug 01, 2005, 01:52 PM I was actually going to comment on a similar thing ... however we must trust that teams act in a gentleman's fashion where fairness is expected ... I couldn't give a sh(i)t if we lose ... I just want a fun time strategizing against other player teams ... and interacting with team members here ...
Ways to cheat ... there are programmes which can alter saves or allow hidden information to be seen ... which apparently can be picked up by administrators ... Classical_hero could probably expand on this ...
My thoughts are that we must trust in the sportsmanship of the other teams ...
Since a game cannot be saved midgame the Repeat Action Until Best Result Method for poping of huts or doing battle is not so much a problem ... unless the entire game is replayed ...
However a Let's Explore in all 8 Directions and then 'Officially' Move is easily possible ... however again I expect our team NOT to do this ... and would vote expulsion for that member ... this came to me when I 'played' our first move ... (I moved worker onto hill, my natural reaction) ...
Hereafter I will only look at the savefile after it has already been sent ... and then only to get stats from cities, map, etc. ...
--------
EDIT
As to the question stated in UN ... we need a poll and vote so that our UN delegate expesses our wishes ...
I personally can't understand the Spreadsheet so I don't care ... or at the very least require more info as to it's benefits ... I guess it shows that some play the game by intuition and other with cold robot logic.
peter grimes Aug 01, 2005, 02:34 PM I'm intrigued by this 'cold robot logic' of which you speak.... I agree that we must hope that everyone is playing to have fun and learn, but I'm sure there are some out there who are a bit more competitive than me.
It never even occured to me to explore all eight directions before officially moving. I'm so naive. I agree we should not use those tactics. Expulsion may be a bit hard - we can debate that if it happens --Which it never should---
fe3333au Aug 02, 2005, 02:33 AM I have been thinking about the actual things that we learn through the advisor screens ...
F1 - Domestic
F2 - Trade
F3 - Military
F4 - Foreign
F5 - Cultural
F6 - Science
and then also ... which is still only surface information
F7 - Wonders of the World
F8 - Victory Status Screen, Histograph (Score, Power, Culture)
F9 - Palace
F10 - Space Ship
---
But what about this deeper game stats stuff -
F11 - Top 5 Cities and Demographics
and
Victory Point Tally, which is shown automatically upper right of the main game screen
---
I propose to set up a separate 'stickied' thread called Through the Looking Glass
It would be a place to discuss our opponents and keep a record of all information we have ...
This would have the first 5 post places reserved for regularly updated summary information ...
Post 1 - Intro and Record of VPs for all Civs
Post 2 - Speciafic Info on Team 1
Post 3 - Speciafic Info on Team 2
Post 4 - Speciafic Info on Team 3
Post 5 - Reserved for something else we may feel is inportant to keep on the easy to find, updated front page.
Posts 2-4
>will have screen pics of any cities (ie City Screens we get from the setting up of embassies and/or espionage)
>Wonders Built
>also F11 info
This could be a sort of espionage and rival think tank ... as the following thread pages would be used to analyse and discuss our rivals
What do yo guyz think ...
peter grimes Aug 02, 2005, 08:04 AM Better than sliced bread.
It would also assist me (unable to load sav) in keeping abreast of the goings on.
I really find the format of a thinktank to be intriguing. With enough contact, we could glean quite a bit of knowledge from this project. I'd like to see this as a citizens initiative - a private enterprise, so to speak. No need to strap a busy minister worried about elections with this stuff.
fe3333au Aug 02, 2005, 08:10 AM OK Grimsey ... I'll do it ...

Really what you have proposed to do in that thread is the job of the Foreign Minister. Each team will then have a thread that is started by the appointed ambassador to that team.
fe3333au Aug 02, 2005, 12:38 PM Oh well I've already done it :p ... I'll kill it if you want ...
However IMHO the Through the Looking Glass thread is easy to find (even easier when stickied :mischief: ) and an excellent way to summarize all info in the same location ... (in fact the first 5 posts of the thread) ...
I suggest to the team that this is a valuable resource for the team, which will enable easy and informed debate regarding our rivals ...
Specific stratergies can be voted on and discussed in separate threads opened by Foreign Minister ... or even have discussions lead by the appropriate citizens on the Looking Glass thread
and i thought that Diplomats were the guyz that PMed the other civs and with their skill with the Mighty Pen and their powers of wordsmanship ... Rival teams will be snared to agree to our terms or do our bidding ...
But I will stand by Teams decision ... :goodjob:
fe3333au Aug 03, 2005, 04:21 AM Captun Sir :salute: ... Would it be possible to sticky the Through the Looking Glass thread ... I have updated the VP info for turn 3 (current)

CH seems to think that it's not your job to pst the thread in the first place. I'll wait for more information from him.
peter grimes Aug 03, 2005, 08:26 AM I, for one, don't really care whose job it is, just as long as the thread doesn't die. Rebuild it somewhere else, restructure it, whatever. But Through the Looking Glass will be a very powerful lens through which to examine the motives and play strategy of our allies and enemies.
fe3333au Aug 03, 2005, 09:10 AM CH seems to think that it's not your job to pst the thread in the first place.
I respectfully disagree ... and can find nothing in the Constitution and job descriptions to support his view ... I don't think our Constitution states that only Ministers or other elected positions are the only citizens that are permitted to start and maintain threads ...
What I am compiling is a Resource ... which will be a constantly updated record of all that we know about the World ...
What I am doing doesn't fall under any one Ministerial influence ... infact it will be used as a reference document in order that our duly elected Ministers can make informed decisions ...
Finally in lieu of the recent debate in the UN regarding what programmes and data analysis tools are allowed ... to me is a strong indication that the other teams are extremely competitive and scarily capable ...
The Through the Looking Glass thread is a place that we can easily access in one place all the raw data ... and also a place where we can all informally muse about our opponents ...
I'll wait for more information from him.
Finally from the Constitution;
Article III-1. The President shall be the designated player; meaning he plays the save.
Since this is not an issue about playing a turn, then his voice surely should not carry greater weight than any other Founder citizen and certainly should not imply that he has a right of veto ...
classical_hero Aug 03, 2005, 09:11 AM Only offical threads from ministers or the team captain can be stickied. Really the only things that we should sticky are things that tell us about this team so it is easy to find. Also things that each minister puts up does not need to be stickied because they are often well visited. Plus we do not want to have a whole page of stickied items.

okay, if this is what you want, and you're going to maintain it, I don't have a problem with it (you convinced me :D); but you don't need my permission to sticky it. I'm more concerned about how this treads into foreign minister/diplomat territory; considering you're mainly talking about the other teams. Just have everything there be facts, and no opinion or policy, and there shouldn't be a conflict.
classical_hero Aug 03, 2005, 09:23 AM IF fe wants to be going into this much trouble, why does he not run for the office?
peter grimes Aug 03, 2005, 09:25 AM Just have everything there be facts, and no opinion or policy
Absolutely on point. There should not be anything speculative posted in the first four posts (the civ-specific posts). Speculation should be reserved for posts further down. Only known data should be updated in the first posts. I think that's the simplest way for us to keep separate that which we know from that which we think we know.
ybbor Aug 03, 2005, 09:35 AM IF fe wants to be going into this much trouble, why does he not run for the office?
he probably will at some point; might as well have all the information in one thread than have it switch threads every term.
Speculation should be reserved for posts further down.
no; speculation goews in the foreign minister thread
fe3333au Aug 03, 2005, 10:22 AM no; speculation goews in the foreign minister thread
OK ... Damn it's great to be living in the Number One City in the World
peter grimes Aug 03, 2005, 01:04 PM When convenient, could someone post a screen shot of the City screen?
Thanks in advance.
fe3333au Aug 04, 2005, 05:18 AM I've not posted screenie ... but the info is in the Looking Glass
classical_hero Aug 04, 2005, 08:11 AM When convenient, could someone post a screen shot of the City screen?
Thanks in advance.
I posted one right at the beginning.
peter grimes Aug 04, 2005, 08:54 AM I see it. I forgot that not much has actually happened - we haven't grown yet, and only made a road. There's so much analysis between turns it seems like more should have happened by now. I'll be more patient in the future :)
classical_hero Aug 04, 2005, 09:42 AM I see it. I forgot that not much has actually happened - we haven't grown yet, and only made a road. There's so much analysis between turns it seems like more should have happened by now. I'll be more patient in the future :)
Everything that happens will be posted in here. That is what this thread is about.
peter grimes Aug 06, 2005, 08:56 PM I wonder if TNT is intentionally running out the clock... psychologicl warfare. Vbraun speculated in the UN thread they might have died.. I don't think he was serious, but imagine if they popped a goody hut last turn and barbarians popped out. Is it even possible for them to die that way?
Kentharu Aug 06, 2005, 09:20 PM that would be funny
but i doubt it is possible vbraun is probably just yanking everyones chain
their score would be bad if that happened anyway so check the score next turn
classical_hero Aug 07, 2005, 08:51 AM It will be a crying shame that this has happened.
peter grimes Aug 07, 2005, 09:20 AM Any word? I was online when DaveShack posted in the turntracker, but I see that the save still hasn't been emailed to out Gmail. I'm surprised this happened. I'm sure TNT are very upset as well.
classical_hero Aug 07, 2005, 09:35 AM Perhaps they have imploded.
peter grimes Aug 07, 2005, 09:40 AM There must be another explanation. I find it hard to believe their capital is no more. Dissention in the ranks? Check out their team roster in teh registry. They could just be bickering.
fe3333au Aug 07, 2005, 09:50 AM spontaneous combustion?
azzaman333 Aug 07, 2005, 10:44 AM maybe they forgot their password
fe3333au Aug 07, 2005, 11:01 AM Just been sent
fe3333au Aug 12, 2005, 03:11 AM Well done captain i just read your comment on the Turn Tracker Save debate ... wonderfully put sir :goodjob:
Meleager Aug 12, 2005, 08:03 PM This seems to be the correct place to note that, with Regent Man's temporary departure (check the UN absence thread), there will be no administrators. Could this be a problem? Should it be discussed in the UN forum? Is the time frame too short to be worth worring about anyway (a weekend)? Should rik or another mod be given temporary admin powers?
I'm probobly making a mountain out of a molehill.
Rik Meleet Aug 13, 2005, 05:18 AM Mele: I'm technically not a game-admin, but willing to answer questions and requests for them.
azzaman333 Aug 13, 2005, 10:03 AM http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=2994807&postcount=1
Is this the right place to bring this up?
classical_hero Aug 13, 2005, 12:29 PM This the right place to bring it up. The Captain will then need to set up a separate thread and poll about this issue.
fe3333au Aug 13, 2005, 02:27 PM I started a thread to clarify the game settings (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?p=2995258#post2995258) ... it came as a bit of a shock to many that they were not what we voted for ... anyway Rik Meleet contacted the map designer (I think) and supplied most of the info, which can be found in post1 of Looking Glass ...
I further asked for clarification on approx % water ... Rik posted this figure after counting the tiles himself and also confirmed that the map is small and not standard as he stated before ...
In the interim another team's citizen requested not to know the water figure ...
Rik posted the figures ... I have them in post1 in LG thread ... Rik censored the information ... I have placed the figure in a spoiler ...
Question ... Do I have to delete the data ??? ... I know it ... so do others probably ... I don't think it's a big deal ... but Rik did delete the original post ... so advise me
classical_hero Aug 13, 2005, 02:29 PM Keep the figures for the moment. We know that Rik was way off with the amount of land there was meant to be.
RegentMan Aug 13, 2005, 04:17 PM anyway Rik Meleet contacted the map designer (I think) and supplied most of the info
Rik Meleet is the map maker.
fe3333au Aug 13, 2005, 04:48 PM Excellent so he is to blame for any problems that we can blame onto the scenario
CivGeneral Aug 13, 2005, 04:51 PM Excellent so he is to blame for any problems that we can blame onto the scenario
Haha, Poor Rik has to have the weight of the entire game on his sholders .
fe3333au Aug 15, 2005, 04:36 AM I request again Captain Oh Captain ... now that the team has seen what the Looking Glass thread is (a resource which summarises turn information) and offers (data for strategy and debate) ... that it be stickied (so that it is always within reach and one doesn't have to go searching for it) ...
Not that it is relivant ... however judging from all the requests, the other teams are sticky mad ... they must be living in an environment where they would have to watch where they walk and what they wear ;)
Meleager Aug 15, 2005, 05:55 AM I request again Captain Oh Captain ... now that the team has seen what the Looking Glass thread is (a resource which summarises turn information) and offers (data for strategy and debate) ... that it be stickied (so that it is always within reach and one doesn't have to go searching for it) ...

I do find it as usefull as the turn tracker thread itself in keeping track of things...
It would have my vote (only because you have proven your willingness to update it over time), but its not my descision.
ybbor Sep 04, 2005, 01:04 PM dougnut has not played the save in 24 hours, should I issue a friendly warning?
Kentharu Sep 04, 2005, 01:13 PM dont warn them, it would be very bad for relations
even if it is friendly they will take it the wrong way... or atleast some people there will i say ignore it, we should keep our mouths shut about these things and when war times come up we can let it all out... it would give us more leverage in getting allies during war
fe3333au Sep 04, 2005, 01:26 PM Friendly warning is OK ... We shall show the UN the non-agressive way of doing it :D
ybbor Sep 04, 2005, 01:30 PM never mind; the noise machine has spoken out on behalf of TNT
fe3333au Sep 04, 2005, 01:41 PM  I was going to say we should wait for him ... but then thought no lets do the right thing ... Damn TNT may as well surrender now
peter grimes Sep 04, 2005, 03:08 PM Tripartite alliance of Squash! How much fun would that be!?
However, I really really really feel for the lowly Proletariat of that Capitalist Tyranny. If, in the future, a terrible calamity should befall them, let us be the first to welcome those poor souls with wide open arms.
ybbor Sep 04, 2005, 04:16 PM and now the Shahanshah is making more noise than a stick of TNT
fe3333au Sep 04, 2005, 04:26 PM Damn I am biting my tongue (or whatever the more appropriate metaphor is to typing a responce) each time the fuse is lit ... as a pyro myself i just want to (in the name of public safety) just diffuse the scanario with a bucket of water
EDIT - I did send a PM to Administrators on a personal level indicating my fear that his zany antics are alienating his team ... they indicated that he is free to :suicide: and they as we, will watch and act only when he becomes abusive ...
fe3333au Sep 04, 2005, 04:29 PM Do you think there is a genuine problem ... I havn't checked the stats but does he have a point and D-Nuts should be warned (as TNT was) ???
EDIT - And can anyone enlighten me what a Shananah-(whatever) is??
ybbor Sep 04, 2005, 04:41 PM maybe. I'll keep quiet. the "of course" was a bit rude.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shahanshah - a persian King. its prov's title
fe3333au Sep 04, 2005, 05:08 PM Hmmm ... I though Woxxa would have been given to us ?
I assume we will get the next player ... Just wondering could Looking Glass be stickied ... with the manic posting and threading atm ... i was finding it difficult ... well frustrating to find ...
fe3333au Sep 04, 2005, 06:09 PM Thanks for the glue ... it actually does help IMHO
And Wiki ... Shahanshah - "Emperor", literally "King of Kings" ...
:mischief: can we read something in player's titles ??? ...
:nono: don't go there matey ... "colour out of time" now that's pretentious
ybbor Sep 07, 2005, 05:20 PM the following was sent to rujikin in regards to joining MIA. I hope I didn't reveal too much.
Greetings from Team MIA! This message is in response to your post about requesting info from the team leaders about the different teams. I cannot say much because of espionage rules in the MTDG constitution, and because of our own classified information, so unfortunately, this is about all I can tell you.
We are playing as the Greeks, whose UU is the Hoplite. Our team name is MIA which stands for Missing in Action (referring to the teams we encounter; not us). We have a strong constitution and attempt to abide by it. We operate more like a demogame than a succession game. Currently I am Team captain, and General W is our President we have other positions, but for privacy reasons, I may not reveal them). Our team, particularly certain members enjoy role-playing.
Apologies for how simple the information is, but once you join, I'm sure it will all come together and more. We would appreciate it if you joined our team, especially because right now we have the fewest embers. I strongly encourage you to join, and can assure you your teammates will warmly receive you and answer any further questions you may have. :)
Thank you, and Long Live Greece! Long Live team MIA!
Disclaimer: The following are relevant sections of the rule-set you must follow regarding the information disclosed in this PM should you join another team.
0.3.3 - Spoiler Info
Description: Upon joining a new team, you are not allowed to give out spoiler info to your new team that the new team you are on would not know about if you had not joined. If you have to give out spoiler info to prove your case, then do not post / vote in the thread.
Verdict: Red (Personal)
0.4 - Out-of-Game Espionage
0.4.1 - Inadvertent or Accidental Espionage
Description/Procedures: An accidental viewing of a private or secure area due to a security hole or other bug/glitch in any software should not be considered a deliberate act of espionage provided the following conditions are met:
a. The members must have exited the private area immediately upon such discovery (it is up to each forum to clearly label its private areas.)
b. The member must privately inform his team leader of the incident, the team leader must put the member in contact with one of the game staff and the member must give the game staff details about the incident (how it happened, how much was seen, etc.) The game staff will then inform the violated team of its security problem and which team violated their security and then determine what action if any should be taken against the member. Action to be taken should not exceed a 50-turn exclusion of the member from the game.
0.4.2 - Intentional Espionage
Description: Any out-of-game espionage in any form is strictly prohibited.
Definition: Trying to hack the secure team forum(s), continuously logging team chat channels, inserting moles in an opponent's team, hacking screenshots or save game upload location, or any other action considered espionage as determined by the game staff
Verdict: Doing any of the above as determined by the game staff is a violation of this rule.
Punishment Level: Red (Ejection)
peter grimes Sep 07, 2005, 10:02 PM I think you did a fine job of painting our team with a broad stroke. I wish there was more we could reveal about our playing style... I think that would entive anyone to joing our team!

I don't know if i like the idea of "biding" for players

niether do I, but under the circumstances, I didn't see why not, it hardly sets precident. If we were not the team with the least amount of people, I wouldn't have said/sent anything.
in any case, it worked :)
fe3333au Sep 08, 2005, 05:07 PM Well done ... well written ... well painted ;)
On another issue ... sorry about posting on the rename thread ... just wanted to get more input and discussion ... then i ended up spatting with provo :cringe: ... but he is just soooo arrogant
Anyway ... he did slip some info in his eagerness to see his own written words ...
1. No Deals ... poor D-Nuts
2. He seems to run a dictatorship and has complete ownership over TNT
Anyway appologies ... and I'm prepared to bend over and take my punishment :spank:
peter grimes Sep 13, 2005, 05:07 PM I"m really not trying to start anything... but the save from TNT is about 1 1/2 hours late, and there's no request posted in the UN....
We really shouldn't be anxious, though... There's still a bit on the diplomatic front to be finalized.
fe3333au Sep 13, 2005, 05:45 PM No plrease go ahead and poke Provo with a stick :p
General_W Sep 13, 2005, 06:45 PM We're coming up on 3 1/2 hours late for TNT.
At what point do we want to say something? If ever?
Personally, I'm content just waiting for one of the other teams to say something.
ybbor Sep 13, 2005, 06:52 PM At 5 hours I'll post a friendly reminder. unless someone else has acompelling reason to wait
ybbor Sep 13, 2005, 08:07 PM posted .
fe3333au Sep 15, 2005, 05:20 AM Observation on Manners
TNT
Due - 14th Sept 6.30am
Sent - 14th Sept 11.30am
5 hours late ... No appology  ... good to see that even with a new player TNT continue to make no friends ... subtle comment from Tubby_Rower indicates this ;)
fe3333au Sep 25, 2005, 11:08 PM In the case that I am suspended for a number of turns I have spoken with Emp.Nap. and he is willing to take over Foreign Affairs
I am too eager for this game to allow Provo to constantly bully others ... I feel that the administrators are too soft on him and therefore will PM them my reasoning ... as mentioned I did not represent our great team ... but ...
EDIT - Things have been resolved and hopefully we will not have this type of behaviour imprinting on the game ... Message from the Moderator Team (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=129709)
peter grimes Sep 26, 2005, 01:01 PM I think we are supposed to be having elections now...
As near as I can tell, here are the nominees:
Team Captain
Civ General
President
General W (incumbent)
Azzaman333
Defense Minister
Peter Grimes
Domestic Minister
Chamnix (incumbent)
Classical_Hero
Foreign Minister
Emperor Napoloen
There are several people who never accepted their nominations. I think they should be contacted by email, just to make sure they are aware of this:
Rujikin and M4 Sherman for Defense .... Ybbor for Foreign ...

whoa! I was nominated for foreign? oops.
and I don' think we should include them in the poll.
1)we have no idea where they stand
2)They may not want the position
3)they had plenty of time to stop in and accept or decline the nomination, if they can't do that, do they have the time for minsitry?
4)its unconstitutional
and i want o get the poll up quickly; it should be up momentarily
General_W Sep 26, 2005, 04:27 PM @ PeterG: wow! a quadruple post!
Was it my job to start these polls as President?
Anyway – thanks for doing it Ybbor!
Your points look very sound. People must respond to their nominations.
Chieftess Sep 26, 2005, 04:36 PM M4_Sherman can not accept his nomination as he has been banned. Also, quadruple post deleted.
ybbor Sep 26, 2005, 04:37 PM was it my job to start these polls as President?
no. your job is to play the save and make decsions, my job (or now CG's) is to run the team, and do adminsitrative tasks like these
classical_hero Sep 28, 2005, 08:50 AM M4_Sherman can not accept his nomination as he has been banned. Also, quadruple post deleted.
Amazing, another mod besides Rik is here. Has he been banned from just the whole DG forums or the whole site? Well, I assumed this happened in the SPDG, which I do not visit.
Meleager Sep 28, 2005, 06:17 PM Better start worshiping cheiftess too.
Thanks for filling us in. Maybe I should put a thread in the site feedback about putting this type of info in the public profile. Would come in usefull.
