I'm back!
- but it was a much longer day than I expected. I'm too tired to try to read everything I need too and play the save - but I will do this in the morning if Ybbor dosen't beat me to it.
(Morning for me will be just in time to beat the 24 hour deadline)

EDIT: Turn sent. Will post update as soon as possible.

Looking forward to catching up on my reading!

I'm gone - but just for the day. about 24-36 hours from the time of this post.

Here's the exact message I left in our team Mail box:

Ybbor,

(or anyone else on MIA)

Here is turn 37 to be sent on when the Admins have ruled on the TNT re-name issue.

The turn needs to be sent to:
teamkiss@gmail.com

The turn should also be CCd to:
ale.of.ginger@gmail.com
TitanicWhiz18@comcast.net

I'm sorry I won't be here to send it myself.

Long live MIA!

Surprise trip to the lake house this weekend!!

I'll be in the woods of New Hampshire, holed up in the den with my girlfriend. We might go canoeing and hiking in the hills, so I probably won't be too active: there is internet, but they it may have been shut off for the winter... I'll be back online by 3AM GMT Tuesday 11.

I will be gone this weekend. (My family has a tradition of all getting together on the old family farm and making sausage every year.)

I'll be gone Friday through Sunday.

With the current rate of turns, that will likely be a problem.
CivGeneral is next in line to play the turns - but I haven't seen much of him lately.
CivGeneral - please post here if you will be around and want to take the turn(s) this weekend.

Otherwise - I would like to delegate my presidential duties to Domestic Minister Chamnix.
(nothing against anyone else - but PeterG can't play the saves, and Domestic is our most sensitive operation right now).

Oct 21, 2005, 06:52 PM

I leave Saturday the 3rd and won't get back till the 10th.

Please try not to hate me, but I'll be on vacation in sunny Cabo San Lucas.
I wanted to give plenty of warning, so that we can make sure we've got someone to takeover while I'm gone.

Peter – You interested?
Maybe Chamnix could just run it while I'm gone?

Either way – I know things have been moving quick – so I'm sorry to be leaving at such a critical time.

Here's where I'll be:
http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/2962/cabo2py.jpg

so you can see why I have to leave.
(There's 4 inches of snow on the ground where I live, and more expected tonight and tomorrow)

I think peter would be a great choice to fill in. If he doesn't have the time, and we can't find anyone else who wants the job, then I will do my best not to screw up the military in your absence, but really, one job is already obviously more than I can handle.

Not an “absence” exactly… at least not yet…

My wife and I are moving this weekend to a new home – it’s a great place out in the country. The downside is they don’t have cable or DSL internet available out that far yet. We’re looking into other options – but for the near future, I’m going to be without internet at my house.

It’s still the slow season at work, so I’ll be checking in while at the office – but accessing the save is going to be a problem. I can get most of my CivAssist stuff to work at the office, but I’ll be a little restricted.
Anyhoo – just wanted everyone to be aware.

I’ll re-announce this later – but I’ll also be leaving on vacation from July the 7th through the 14th – at the lake- with no internet at all.

So July is going to be a rough month for my MTDG Civing.
Good news is that by late July, early August – I’ll be out of vacation time and should have some form of internet hooked up at home. Hopefully that will coincide with the start of the War with KISS – so I won’t miss anything too exciting!

:salute:

peter grimes
Jul 03, 2006, 03:14 PM
I'm back from Tennesee... but leave Thursday for a well-deserved respite from New York. I'll be at the lake house in New Hampshire until the beginning of August.

I have internet access there, but every moment I spend on the Internet is a moment I'm not on the lake or in the woods. I'll check in regularly, though ;)

fe3333au
Jul 07, 2006, 11:49 PM
I will be unavailable today and possibly tomorrow ... just depending on how the evening progressed :groucho:

Chamnix
Jul 10, 2006, 11:05 AM
Depending on when we get the next turn, I may not be able to play it timely. I am leaving town very early Tuesday morning my time (GMT -4). If I’m lucky, I’ll be returning Tuesday night, but I may end up having to stay an extra day or two. I will not have internet access while I’m gone.

If we get the turn within the next 7 hours or so, I should be able to fit it in before I leave, but I’ll keep you posted.

Chamnix
Jul 10, 2006, 08:11 PM
