I once made for use in my S.P.Q.R. scenario (available in German only) some little artwork. Here is for example the city graphic for roman cities. There are not big changes in that file. Well there are, but it don't look like, at the first view - may be. This is, becouse it is based on Civ3 original cities, but it should look a little more special roman then the originals. The file do NOT include any changed walled version, the original version from Civ3 still works fine for this mod.

There is also only one age, but the file is separated in 3 "ages":

original civ3-graphic. -> pre republican age
changed version (with slightly different megapolis than row 3+4) -> republican age
changed version with collosseum -> imperial age
the same like row N°3

Thanks for sharing these with us. They are really good ancient rome cities.

Could someone give info of what the pole with a statue is? Is it just an artistic ornament, or is there any neat historical info about it?

I like them. I dont see why you left some of the old roofs though, they could have used some editing imo.

I dont see why you left some of the old roofs though, they could have used some editing imo.Well thats becouse it should work together with original Civ3 original graphics. I personally don't like to much cleaned.

Could someone give info of what the pole with a statue is?It's a roman column. The worlds most famous roman column is probably Trajans Column.

But there where many free-standing columns/pillars in Rome. For example on Forum Romanum you would see some of them. This pic shows one in the foreground and on the rostra in the background are some more of them.

There are no zip folders, it's just a pcx. It goes in the Art\Cities folder, replacing rROMAN.pcx. Save the original.

I like them!!!

I like them so much, I would like to cut out the column to use by itself. Any objections, Arne?
