This is the thread for Fanatikos' 2nd city, Civatonia.　Below you see the interior of the village center. It's a house somewhere in the fields, waiting for people to come and settle.

3050 BC - The scouts have laid out a possible city site. It's a little risky, but it looks productive.

Right now, it's just a goody hut in the field somewhere. :)

Like the nomadic hut where I live "before the dawn of Civilization". That's a great image, of course, and I hope that Civatonia expands to become a great Metropolis. Then, this "goody hut" will be an archaelogical site.

While we're still a goody hut, and no city has been established, I've set the civics (see the first post). Hopefully other cities will use the same method. These won't change until the city is founded, and the techs are researched.

Whilst exploring our surroundings, it seems we're either in grasslands, or plains. We only know of our capital. Right now, we're a nomadic Greek tribe looking for a place to settle. Some members will be joining the warrior exploration party perhaps later today.

Due to my sedentary habits, I will not join the warrior party, but rather celebrate the building of the city with a great party :dance: :beer: :rotfl: :band: :clap: :sniper: :viking: [pimp] :king:, and stay there.

2630 BC - The Banquet

From atop the mountain, this gateway to the east, the explorers could see a vast, open land that would become their homeland. The settlers came down from the mountain, and a leader arose from the people and spoke:

Let us share in our foods and drinks, and feast, for we are at the gateway!

Seafood from the nearby rivers, and wild melons were harvested. Bread and desserts were baked, and a huge feast was held. There seemed to be an endless amount of food for thousands. Children made makeshift rafts from fallen tree bark, and the people told stories of their adventures. Even the beginnings of legends were started here. The feast lasted for weeks, and the leader declared it an event that should be held annually to celebrate the founding of the city by the gateway.
