We can get access to a goody hut with our next turn.

Here is the delema. If we are to pop it right now, we could get some barbs wich would be bad for the worker because we do not want to lose any turns with our worker. We could also get some riches in this by either getting their map, a tech, a unit, some gold, a settler of even another city.

leave it till there is something to protect the worker

In this case, caution should be our watch word ...

I think that we should wait 3 (or whatever) turns for the next warrior to graduate ... the worker will still be busy on the designated project ... a road

The tech/gold/unit/settler/map/city will still be there waiting ... and so will the potential for a barb hatching ... we must guard against mishap ...

and then laugh about being overly cautious at the next tavern drinks ... :mischief: which I believe would be a round on the Prez if I am not mistaken ;)

Although I posted my opinion in a different thread, I will post here as well so we have all the votes in one place...

According to Oystein's Article (http://www.civfanatics.com/civ3/strategy/goodyhuts.php), there is a 65% chance of barbs on emperor. I don't think it is worth taking that chance until our worker is protected - since the hut is close to our capital, we should have no problem getting it before anyone else, but we should wait until we can handle the likely barbs.

I think that we should wait 3 (or whatever) turns for the next warrior to graduate ... the worker will still be busy on the designated project ... a road

Is the worker roading in the save sent to the next team? If he is, then we will have to modify the spreadsheet...

Wait on the hut. It's not going anywhere. If it were a square closer I'd even say wait until our culture absorbs it.

When we expand it will not be in our first level of culture, so wee will need to get to it soon, but it does seem to the consensus to leave it for a while.

and of course, if and when we do pop it (sounds like we're talking about a pimple :p),we have to change our production to make sure we'renot making a settelr
