same as SaaM's thread, where you can come up with names for one of our future cities. so put all your suggestions in this thread. of course, there's a good chance i'll just use something i think up. :p

EDIT: i'd prefer something Greek related. (for 2 reasons)

Η πόλη αναρωτιέται

Also, I have no clue how you would go about putting that into the city naming box. You asked for Greek, and you got Greek ;).

You might be able to cut & paste it. How did you get it into the forum, was it a sequence of alt+number sequences? If so, the same sequences would work for the game. Be careful though, if you accidentally hit a character that the game considers significant it could have unexpected side effects.

Also, mind posting a translation? ;)

According to Babelfish, it's "The City Wonders". I'm guessing it's "The City Of Wonders".
"e pole anarotietai" I think.

Yeah, it's something along those lines. I'm also very thankful I didn't propose "The City of Prostitutes" now.

Also, yeah it was a sequence of alt+numbers. Although, I just found out you can actually copy and paste them, so I'll propose some more:

Καλωσορίζουμε εκείνοι με τα διανοητικά προβλήματα.

City of Lights:
Πόλη των φώτων

The harbour of stars:
Το λιμάνι αστεριών

You can't use real Greek letters in the city names without modding the game or the font in some way - I already tried. ;)

How about 'Heran'?

Hera was the goddes of marriage, and Queen of the Olympians.

This site (http://www.greek-mythology-gods.com/) gives a very simple intro to Greek mythology. there may be something of use there.

If we're close to a mountain with this city, we could go with Mt. Olympus.

What about Wicked Donut? Damn, this isn't a sober offer at all, but I am bad in inventing names!

I like the topographic tie-in. Mt. Olympus near mountain, Ephesus if it's on western coast, Styx if it's on a river, etc.

Argos, perhaps. (Now this is a sober offer)

Something related to Zeus. Perhaps Zeusolopolis? (Zeuslopolis <- Alternative spelling)
