Spec heads to produce different quantity of stuff? Like entertainers to produce at least 2 lux or officers to do more for corruption?

Yes, just go into the editor, open up the Citizens page, and change the numbers (or prereq) for the different types.

Would it be possible to give a unit a different defensive bombard ability then offensive?

Could you make units require food upkeep? For a pop head to be consumed when a unit is made and readded when disbanded?

I posted these questions on another thread and someone said these two were impossible. But wanted to see if someone else perhaps knew a way.

How difficult would it be to mod a officer unit that acts as two units for the purpose of suppressing resistors, preventing flip etc?

How difficult would it be to mod spearman/pikeman units being more effective against mounted units?

No.

Yes, give it a pop cost and join city ability, but the AI might not handle the latter very well.

Infinitely.

You want to make the spearman MORE effective?

:p

It doesn't work that way.

By saying it doesn't work that way, are you saying its not possible for it to work that way? BTW some people think the spearmans worthless (not me, some people, spearman)

Why wouldn't the AI handle pop addition from unit disband well? What would it do? I'd have to do that to every individual unit? Through editor?

Are you of the mind that its next to impossible to mod the game outside of the default editor?

There is no way to make a unit more effective against a certain unit that others. The combat system is based only on the attack strength of the attacker and the total defense of the defender.

Yes you would have to give each unit a pop cost and the join city ability individually. The problem is that the AI might make them join its cities when it shouldn't- whenever you mess with unit abilities like that, the AI tends to get confused. Some scenarios have units with pop cost and it works fine, but AFAIK allowing the unit to turn back into population hasn't been done.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. If you're asking if there is any way to mod the game beyond the limitations of the editor, the answer is basically no, except for text and graphics modding.
