This set of borders results from the melting of ideas grabbed here and there :

floating aspect and overall shape (looking like a saw's blade with teeth directed towards the center of the territory) originates from JJansen's set of borders.
civ-independent colors idea (used for both brights teeth's tips and external line) comes from Pounder's set of borders whose stockades remain brown whatever the civ is.

thus, there isn't any combination of civ-color and terrain background where a border can disappear, thanks to either the shadow, or the civ-independent color, or the fact that these borders are dashed as genuine ones.

In order to smooth some transitions (the game engine sometimes mixes borders with mountains, rivers, roads, large units) and to make these cultural floating borders appear to be less massive, they've been given a chalky aspect.

Note : works with [civ3], maybe also with other civ-flavors

They are really nice, great work bobeugen. But when they get together they seem a little... crowded... je... I don't know another word to use, because english is not my native tongue.

Im sorry mate but i think those look horrible!

They seem to "bleed" the underlying terrain far too much and for me that just doesnt look right. I prefere my borders bold and solid.

BUT, WeLcOmE 2 CfC!

One world, many tastes .

In order not to smooth some transitions (...) and not to make these cultural floating borders appear to be less massive, they've not yet been given a chalky aspect in their beta version. Moreover, they now also exist in dark and light solid versions.
