I read through the Fundamental Laws of Doughnutia and I saw that it lacks an official mechanism for amendment. Should we add one? I have a proposal here, feel free to comment on it:
Article 4-18
The Fundamental Laws of Doughnutia may be amended at any time if a proposal to amend the Laws is approved by the GAD. In order for a proposal to be approved, all of the following conditions must be true:
a. A discussion regarding the amendment proposal and detailing the exact changes to be made has been open for at least 48 hours prior to polling
b. A poll regarding the proposal with the options Yes, No, and Abstain has been posted, to be open for at least 96 hours
c. The first post in the poll thread contains the text of the amendment to be voted on
d. The number of citizens voting “Yes” when the poll closes is at least twice that of the citizens voting “No”

Yes, I am in a rule-amending mood today. ;)

How do you amend something that has no rules for amending it? ;)

Good point. ;) I thought about that. I figure it could pass by its own rules for an amendment, which, while not necessarily a very good way of doing things, sounds fair to me in this case. It depends on what the other citizens think though.
