Vote for either classical_hero or Peter Grimes.

I abstain, at the risk of disappointing those who support my nomination, though flattered, and shall remain (no matter what else shall pass),

We need more votes, because this is very close, in fact we are tied.

why are people abstaining to this poll?? is there something wrong with the candidates

I think an abstaining reason may be that the 2 candidates are both very good and that a decision cannot be made ... although in that case ... maybe questions can be asked of the candidates regarding their views ...

Just to clarify:

I am humbled by your support, but I felt I must abstain from voting for or against either candidate. I imagine the other ABSTAIN vote to be from Classical_Hero. No matter who wins, we will be in good hands, defence-wise. I know that Classical_Hero will be an excellent Defence Minister: he has proven his mettle in affairs international. Either of us will fulfill the duties of office, and because the Gods have smiled upon us, we the Greeks will succeed in all our endeavors.

Actually it is not me who did the other Abstain. I voted for myself and so should have you. It certainly is the closest of all election.

 this is a nail biter of an election ... with 14 hours to go and a number of votes that can still be cast ... Ladies and Gentlemen ... this is going to be one hell of a race to the finish line

This has turned out to be a close election indeed! Too bad they all weren't so close - I love the suspense! Not to cede prematurely, but seeing as how the poll ends in the middle of the night here:

C_H: If you win, I will sleep better at night, knowing your warriors will keep us safe from the barbarians howling out on the steppes.

Congradulations C_H ... I predict that the MIA political world hasn't heard the last of Grimsey ;)
