View Full Version : Term 2 Nominations for the Expatriate Governor
Furiey Aug 23, 2005, 05:45 PM The Expatriate Governor is responsible for the care, management, and use of captured cities and may also setup a civic government in any manner they see fit that does not conflict with Fanatikos laws.
The Expatriate Governor is a member of the Senate which is responsible for choosing a President should an election cycle complete with no citizen elected as President, and for placing Fanatikos in a state of Mobilization. The Senate also has the power to declare War.
Please note: No cities have yet been captured
Please submit nominations for the Expatriate Governor in this thread and Accept or Decline any nominations you may receive. Self nominations are allowed. Citizens may only run for one elected position.
Nominations will close and elections open 00:00 GMT on the 28 August (thats 8pm EDT 27 August).
greekguy Aug 24, 2005, 07:31 AM I nominate Bootstoots.
vikingruler Aug 24, 2005, 09:22 AM i nominate nobody and second Bootstoots.
RegentMan Aug 24, 2005, 12:56 PM I nominate myself and wish to be marked as undecided.
DaveShack Aug 25, 2005, 02:24 AM I'm self-nominating and accepting here and for Public Defender, because both offices have no nominees. My intent is to withdraw from this race if someone else accepts, not because I don't want it to be contested, but because I don't want PD to remain open. I accepted PD first so if there are no other accepts in either one, PD takes precedence.
RegentMan Aug 25, 2005, 11:34 AM After some thinking, I've decided to accept this nomination. Too bad I'm scaring DaveShack away; I'd like to run against someone... :(
DaveShack Aug 25, 2005, 06:27 PM If someone chooses to run for PD then this race could be contested. ;)
RegentMan Aug 25, 2005, 06:34 PM If someone chooses to run for PD then this race could be contested. ;)
Ooooh... forgot about that option!
Bootstoots Aug 26, 2005, 03:23 PM Thanks for the nomination, greekguy. At the moment, I'll be undecided, pending the answer to this question: which election is DaveShack running for, now that both have been contested? At first glance it looks like he said that he'd withdraw if somebody accepted here, but then he says that if somebody runs for PD this race could still be contested. Huh?
Furiey Aug 26, 2005, 03:27 PM If he doesn't withdraw from either he'll be in the PD election as that was accepted first.
DaveShack Aug 27, 2005, 01:51 AM I've reconsidered and decided to self-decline in the PD election, and stay in this one instead.
Bootstoots Aug 27, 2005, 09:05 AM I'll do the opposite of Dave: having contested the PD election, I'll decline here.
greekguy Aug 27, 2005, 10:07 AM Question to the canidates: Do you think enemy cities we capture should be distant capitals which will stay corrupt or colony cities they build close to our borders, which have the oppurtunity to become productive?
admiral-bell Aug 27, 2005, 11:33 AM thats a loaded question, please reword
greekguy Aug 27, 2005, 01:20 PM thats a loaded question, please reword
what type of cities should we try to capture:
enemy capitals loaded up with wonders. however, they will be very far away and very corrupt.
enemy colony cities built close to our borders. they won't have lots of wonders and such, but they have a good chance of being productive.
understandable now?
admiral-bell Aug 27, 2005, 03:03 PM thank you, it is no longer biased
