This was a pretty uneventful turn.

Warrior SE, didn't have any moves which revealed more territory so leaving the option of jumping on that hill and revealing the remainder of the nearby tiles. Curragh 2NW, the land is continuing diagonally in that direction for a bit.

MM Springfield to produce settler in 1 turn and grow in 2. Writing is due in 6, this will go up when the settler is produced and then back down when the town is planted.

Speaking of planting a town, last chance to decide where is coming up. Here is a map with some of the possible locations. Pay no attention to the growth and production numbers in this map, it was generated using the incoming save, not the outgoing one.

My choice would be City 2 then City 3

IMO, none of the above, and we should go east 2 squares, see what that reveals, and direct ourselves accordingly. If we're worried about roaming barbs coming out of the fog, a direct route 3 SE to the coast tile by the bonus grass would give some protection from any surprises. The coastal location would allow for another curragh going east.

Using the eastern bonus grass, we can get another mp to the capital in 8 turns, and another worker produced in 10. Assuming we build warrior-granary in the capital, we would be set for no lux until size 5, with the settler factory almost complete. I cant see how any of the other proposed sites can help us as much.

City 1- should be 1 SE to take advantage of the fish, theres no food bonus for the wines in this game.

City 2- little immediate production, and more corruption.

City 3- nice FP spot, but will need a lot of work. I think founding it as the 4th or 5th city would be fine.

City 4- out of the question. too far.

Edit: What about this map? City 3 will need the wheat to work the maximum amount of mountain-hill tiles without irrigating the bonus grass. The other spots are subject to change depending on what the fog reveals.

I think we should found whatever city is going to be right next to the FP wheat next to serve as a worker farm. I like DaveShack's map.

"City 2" on my map was put on the same side of the river as Shelbyville after there were some comments suggesting that in earlier threads. Most of the other ones are suggestions of CxxC placements using that location as a starting point. I was also giving a strong preference to river locations, though not all would need to be on a river.

It's troubling we don't see more lux, I hope this doesn't mean Rik has set it up to mandate that lots of trading is the only path to happieness.

I would prefer we move all our upcoming cities one more square out so we have the five cities around the capital all the same distance from the capital....(4 squares) To help with corruption

In C3C at the current patch level, the corruption model was changed so that equal distances don't give any special benefit.

However, would you care to produce a map showing what you're suggesting? Input from all sides is good. :D

If the worker farm is the plan (Dave's New City 2), I still feel it needs to be moved one SW.
