I know this is a bit late, but it'd be real easy to implement, but when I decide to go for a bit of a diplomacy victory (generally, just because I ain't no MMer and I want to get the game finished off!), I feel that it would reaaaaally benefit from a bit of tension - you know, the votes coming in slowly, maybe with a hushed voice-over commentary. It'd be sooooo easy and would really add a little bit of tension to the final result.
