Micromanaging: Please MM the city for shield output, but not at the expense of growth.

Looks like Philo is winning...

If somebody wants to trade, try to get the absolute best deal. After that, see if the people in the TC agree to that trade or not. If not, don't trade.

Don't think I'll make it because it is a latenight one where I live...

EDIT:
Germany: Iron Working for Writing + 2 Gold
Persia: The Wheel + Gold (they have lots and we should get some) for Iron Working
France (they appear to be the cheapest): Warrior Code for Gold.

This should get us Iron Working, The Wheel and Warrior Code without having to spend too much gold.

have warriors continue explration, have athena explore the big black blob of land in the middle of persia and germany. if for some reason an rop is signed with france, have apollo explore french land, if no ROP fortify in styx or explore wherever, send him to the closest blob of land and move him through it. same thing with artemis, also, if little land is left to discover, have one or 2 warriors keep tabs on the germans, by going in the vicinity of their land closet to the barb encampment, if you see a warrior, attack the encampment or block him. if WC is gained or researched and an archer is built send him to the encampments. as for names, you decide try to do greek names if you can but anything is fine.

Here's the other save... http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads10/DG7_1500BC_endturn.sav

umm, why is my city at size one?

And there wasn't even a turn 5 save. Turnchat long wasn't descriptive. There was already a unit there, and supposedly a hoplite. So, why is it size 1? End of turn stats were lax, and naming conventions somewhat off. No detail on what went on during the turn (i.e., what units were built, where the AI units were. Just, "There's units, pressing enter.". That's not good enough. Even the turnchat time was confusing. I thought it was tomorrow (each date said August 31st). I asked about other trades after the iron trade, and heard nothing.

Things are getting VERY sloppy here!

As Nobody hasn't yet posted these

Turn 9 - 1500 BC (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads10/DG7_1500BC_endturn.sav)

Chatlog (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads10/DG7_2005-08-30_Chatlog.zip)

We did the 3 trades from the Special Session, but only got 25 gold as part of the Persia deal. The Romans and more recently the Germans have demanded Gold. We paid.

CT - while your comments may be accurate, a slightly nicer tone, especially to a first time player, might have better results. You were rather ... direct.

If you were the target of those comments, you'd be posting a fairly direct defensive post in reply.
