Here's a unit to fill a gap for the Lord of the Mods. It's an Easterling more in line with the book descriptions than my previous Easterling, which was based off of the movies. To be honest, it's just Kinboat's Mongol Poser figure with weapons, a helmet, and an itchy fake beard. Anyway, perhaps this can also be used as some sort of Asian/Mongol Axeman--they're very popular this time of year.

Very nice. Very smooth, and a big axe! What else could a man want?

Good to see another masterpiece from one of the best of the best when it comes to Poser Utah. Is this your final unit? :(

What stats would be used for this unit?

Very nice. :) If possible, could you also release a variant with a spear? It could serve as a Mongol/Central Asian as well.

Awesome. Given that one of the book descriptions says Easterlings had axes (and beards) like Dwarves, I'd say that beast of a chopper is just what the Professor ordered.

Indeed. :) It's a very good fit for the axe-men that fought at the Pelennor Fields.

Good work, Utahjazz

Have yet to try out in game, but from the previews it looks class. Its good to see you veer away from the swords and spears units you've been so graciously providing us with. The new animations are great.
Btw, I guess I've been out of the loop lately. Why are mongolians so popular this time of year? I thought they mostly just wandered around the gobi desert grazing cows anymore. Have they been staging a reunion tour or something?

For the Lord of the Mods mod, this unit will be used as an "Easterling". Peter Jackson envisioned them more as southrons in the movies but we are trying to stick closer to Tolkien who described them more akin to the mongols.

It has been difficult to find units for them as there are very few mongol/hunnish units out there. So by us requesting our easterlings, it is helping the mod community out as a whole because every one else now has some more desperately needed mongol units... that is if you do not mind them having a big honking axe, which might not be the most realistic, historically.

You've been cutting back on units I noticed but the ones you still make are great

I don't know what an easterling is but any dude armed with a giant axe has a place in my game.
