View Full Version : Shall we complain on Team Doughnut? Provolution Aug 30, 2005, 04:43 AM Here we go my brothers and sisters. Rik Meleet Aug 30, 2005, 05:14 AM The rules are designed to counter bad-intent. In the case of your keyboard, that was just a situation of bad luck, combined with the rest of the TNT-team not noticing that the 24 hour deadline was approaching. Some minor hiccups at the beginning of the game which no other team has a problem with. Doughnut's case is simply a case of eiher a human mistake or a bug. (they did send out a save -and apparently the correct one- but due to some game-glitch the save asked for the password of team Doughnut, while it should have asked for the password of team TNT). In case of a human mistake; there is no reason to attempt to slaughter them for that. In case of a bug: That does happen sometimes in PBEM. Usually reopening the save would have triggered the save to correct itself and it might have asked -correctly- for team TNT's password. That obviously isn't the case here. Team Doughtnut played the save again (of course this replaying is a violation of the rules, so they asked Ginger's and Regent's permission first). As a lurker I advise you to not make this an official complaint (you do have the right to do that, of course) since it will very likely not be rewarded and it will create a very bad atmosphere in the MTDG. But in the end: it is team TNT's decision. CoolioVonHoolio Aug 30, 2005, 07:06 AM i think since they saw us, then we should see them. :groucho: Ginger_Ale Aug 30, 2005, 07:28 AM CoolioVonHoolio: ?? Provolution, according to my emails, they were less than 1 hour over the limit, and that was because of a mistake. Their full intent would've had it sent much earlier. Please drop this case - what do you want to accomplish? Warning them will not fix accidental mistakes. Provolution Aug 30, 2005, 08:01 AM Here we go my brothers and sisters. Danheg Aug 30, 2005, 08:39 AM I don't think something as minor as less than an hour overtime should be complained about. Also, if we give some leeway now, we should be able to get some leeway later in case something like this happens to us. However, I do feel that, even though it was a mistake, we should probably get a look at their last position if they have gotten a look at ours. That is only right and fair.
