Ok, let's get down to business here. Since Civ2 is like the King of all Civ versions, I thought it might make sense to post here what features in Civ2 you'd like to see implemented in Civ4/5.

Maybe someone can send the list over to Firaxis for them to consider including some/all of the ideas posted here in a patch for Civ4 or Civ5 (we all want a Civ5 don't we?)

Yes, pretty much all of them.

Civ III really took out some awesome stuff that was present in Civ II. Bring it back. Now. :joke: Actually, the team can do whatever they want. Just release the damned game already :)

Seriously we should close this part of the forum. cIV is near as done now. Nothing we say is going to be implemented this late into developement.

Seriously, we should start poll on the box, because it is probably what remains to do for the game.

I have to say I agree. Civ 3 was a step forward in some areas and a step back in others. I feel that Civ 2 had a more historical feel.

One feature I was rather partial to in CivII, was the ability to subvert a city by gold. I would like that in CivIV with some refinements...maybe pay so much to eliminate city defense bonuses, or cripple some defense units, all the way up to purchasing a surrender.

Subversion is just more romantic than combat...I guess I'm old-fashioned.
