We're getting a new settler in a few turns, and we may build a new city. Please vote in the following thread before even thinking about the question of this poll :

If your answer is to build a new city, you're in the right thread. (You can still vote for the no city at all option) The screenshot provided a little bit late by our president (who had a really good reason for not posting it, so I understand) didn't have a grid on it. I thought it would be difficult to choose a specific square without those grids. So I took an old screen shot and placed the line correctly. Note that Potopolia (or "new city here") is not dysplayed, and that the horseman is no longer there. To see the new screenshot, please take a look at this picture :

Now, you can vote on the poll where to put our new city. Here are the choices (with no important point missing this time) Again, please chose the correct letter, or chose other and then specify the square with a number sequence. Thanks, and good voting :)

Thank you unknownsoldier ,you know for what.Sorry i didn't let the map grid on when i posted that last screenshot ,but i see you are perfectly capable of doing this for once withought it.

It's a tough poll ,so for now i'll wait with voting to see wat other option's may come up.

Next time when i play a few turn's i will add a screenshot of the map as an attachement to a mail i will send to you and AP. ;)

Well, I can do it without the grid, but it took me a lot of time to do so. *sigh* I should have asked a good image editor for christmas, cause I'm becoming tired of paint :p

My vote would go to A, because we will put a city there soon or later, and since the settler will be built almost next to it, I think it's the perfect spot (for now). But I didn't vote a single time on my polls, so I'll let other citizens decides, and in case A come equal to another maybe it should be declared winner.

After we can go down and build a channel city to link the sea to the ocean, and have a greater possibility for a navy, or settle on "F" and then some squares down to open the channel there.

It's interesting how, since this game is Civ2 instead of Civ3, it is necessary to "un-relearn" (or similar gibberish) certain strategies. This is a great example. If this were Civ3, I'd be inclined to start taking the furthest spots out in order to have the greatest possible extent of initial cultural borders, filling the interior lines in later. :p

This being Civ2, I'll revert to my natural Civ2 tendency: the closer the new city is from its origin, the sooner the city is built. The sooner the city is built, the more productive it is! (And the sooner we can get more settlements!) So I think A is best...

Its got to be A for the neatness as it would complete a nice square :p
