I know that some Firaxis members are around here, but they, as far as I can see, donīt follow the discussions regularly, I mean taking part. This can mean twice: They donīt have the time to discuss or they donīt follow them. I know that time is a key factor wisely to be used but a certain feedback would be nice. I donīt mean they have to see the 395th "Bring Elvis back thread", to exaggerate, nor they have to lift all surprises. But a bit more feedback would be nice, since without the turns and map everything was questioned.

1) The Firaxis people are well aware of this forum and others like it
2) They're busy
3) Every time someone from Firaxis says something, people pounce on them and demand more
4) There's not much use in knowing this stuff in advance
5) Revealing information publicly makes it harder for them to change their minds

Just because they don't comment on every thread, does not mean that they are not following what we are commenting on.

Believe me, I've watched as folks like Soren and Mike B. have browsed here, and they are certainly aware of our discussions. I would expect that they are under pretty tight constraints as to what the can comment on at any given time, so they rarely post. I do expect them to post more once the game is out and they are able to more freely discuss with us.

/me pictures Firaxians reading these threads, and laughing their heads off at some of our speculations....

I'll bet that could be reason #6. Or maybe #1, bumping all the others down. If they tell everything, we can't come up with inane guesses.
