It would be nice if the way Civ scores would change to basically divide the total score into at least 4 different categories and then adding them up to give you a grand total score.

You would earn points for how advanced you are in the following areas:

1) Cultural score
2) Wonders score
3) Domination score
4) Alliances Score

I'll detail each as follows:

1-Cultural
You get scores for the number and type of cultural resources you have.

2-Wonders
You score for the # of wonders you have and the type of wonder it is, where each type has a different score depending on its importance to the rest of the world, also you would score by how early you were to get your 1st wonder as compared to the rest of the civs.

3-Domination
Your score will be based by how many parts of the world you dominate.

4-Alliances
Score is based on the # of friendly alliances you have with the rest of the Civs.

This way, even if you are militaristic in nature, and only choose to win by Conquest, your total score will be based on these other 4 areas as well so that your total score may or may not be the highest since if you only focus on killing everyone and hostile takeovers, yes, you'll win the game at the end since you chose conquest as the deciding factor to end the game, but score-wise, you will have a poor score in other areas of the game.

This way of scoring would probably keep players focused not only on one single area of victory (whether it be conquest, space race, diplomatic, etc), but also will make players think and strategize the other areas as well, instead of overlooking them. Of course, this way of scoring should be an option in the game, in case the player doesn't care to use it.

So what do you think? Would this be a nice idea to implement into the way Civ scores?

EDIT: I'm at my lunch hour at work right now, so I had to type this up real fast, so it probably could use some polishing up but hopefully you get the general idea. ;)
