View Full Version : The story of K.I.S.S
Whomp Sep 04, 2005, 06:04 PM I thought it might be good fun to tell a story of our game along the way. We have some mighty fine writers in this crew so I thought I'd throw it out there. One other thing we could do is invite Coinich or Vanadorn to be our official team historian/storyteller. Without the great storytelling in Mag 7+1 it would've been a really good SG. With the story it was a classic. Bugs and Bede.
What do you all think?
Daghdha Sep 04, 2005, 11:58 PM All for it
IroquoisPlisken Sep 05, 2005, 11:10 AM Sounds good to me. :) I think Coinich's been busy lately, though.
soul_warrior Sep 07, 2005, 03:00 AM great idea.
one of the GREATS would be highly desirable.
maybe ill take over the tale of Ave Joe....
see what happens....
Whomp Sep 07, 2005, 08:55 AM I spoke with Coinich and his schedule is a little tight right now but he would be interested if we are patient. His story seems to be coming to a head as the Babylonians are in the process of routing the Mayans. :D
Whomp Oct 07, 2005, 09:28 AM I received a PM from the great story teller Coinich. I think he will be joining Team K.I.S.S as our official storyteller!! For those of you who have not read World War I in 2051 it is probably the best story written by a CFCer IMO. I think Iroquois Plisken would concur.

Tubby Rower Oct 07, 2005, 07:54 PM I've read about half of that thread.... his imagination is amazing :wow:
Ginger_Ale Oct 07, 2005, 08:01 PM (Coinich has now been granted access to the forum.)
Let the stories begin. :)
Coinich Oct 09, 2005, 12:11 PM Hello all you idiots out there,
I bring you the warm and fraternal greetings of the Department of Historical Idiocy, of which I am the self-proclaimed chronicler of the history of the Celtic (we are Celts right?) peoples. I am pleased to be here, and grateful for the warm welcome. I will, over the next week or so - be trying to get a flavor for what's going on with all you idiots, and attempting to figure out how to chronicle the history of stupid decisions that have been made by the idiots in charge of this place. At this time I would not ask to be made a part of the turn process, but I may ask for some diplomatic duties, or a role in that environment, in the future. I have some perspective to give, based on what I've read. :hmm:
Anyway - I'm here, and have been approved (thanks GA and Whomp).
Talk to you all later.
Coinich.
P.S. - Do I have my signature correct?
Rik Meleet Oct 09, 2005, 12:34 PM P.S. - Do I have my signature correct? :confused:It is too long now. Please make it shorter that it doesn't exceed the 5 line-limit.
For your refernce: Signatures are limited to 5 lines of regular (size 2) text. Using smaller text (size 1) allows 7 lines of text. Larger text (size 3) allows 3 lines of text. No text size larger then size 3 should be used. The number of lines for any text size includes blank lines and room used by emoticons and is evaluated at 1024x768 resolution.
Daghdha Oct 09, 2005, 01:56 PM @Coinich
Good to have you aboard this ever growing ship of fools. I'm sure the history of the Celtic Idiots will be a terrific read
gmaharriet Oct 09, 2005, 02:12 PM Welcome, Coinich!!! :band: Your reputation as a great writer precedes you, and I'm glad to get a chance to know you. I'm the grandma of all idiots...wisdom does not always come with age. :p
Coinich Oct 09, 2005, 07:41 PM Rik: Gracias amigo - fixed!
Dag:  - This should be interesting to say the least ;)
Harriet: A pleasure to meet you as well. I'm glad to be aboard this ship of fools... I mean idiots. :D
Whomp Oct 09, 2005, 08:20 PM Coinich I feel we pulled quite a major coup getting you to tell our story. Take your time getting comfortable here. This is a great crew and as I've told many of them I wouldn't even trade them in for steam power. ;)
I don't know where to start since each thread seems to have a life of it's own, as well as each of our posters. What do you expect from a bunch of anarchist idiots!
Here are a few threads I would recommend reading.
Diplomacy -- The human to human interaction goes here. This is not like talking to the AI! These guys are very unpredictable and in some cases volatile. You'll see our relationship with MIA and soon to be TNT (the bad guys already)
Beorn el Feared's summary thread --Capsulizes the important issues.
Tubby's geeks and numbers -- Amazing what Tubs comes up with. It's how we figured out the palace jump that was so controversial in the main thread.
Mapping the idiots-- A little about each of us.
Cartography Room--Where our best maps go.
Kickbooti Oct 10, 2005, 07:24 AM Greetings Coinich!
If learning the nuances of our Idiodic culture escape you, one helpful trick I have observed in our group is to drink until it makes sense.
Welcome aboard.
IroquoisPlisken Oct 10, 2005, 10:08 AM Glad to see you've joined the Celtic side, Coinich! :D
Welcome!
soul_warrior Oct 10, 2005, 10:34 AM all hail prince Coinich of Arabia :worship:
welcome and Jah bless.
Tubby Rower Oct 10, 2005, 12:01 PM I'm humbled to be a part of a story that is written by the author of "World War I... in 2051 A.D.!?!?" Your creativity is amazing.
Welcome aboard :salute:
Butterball Oct 10, 2005, 02:22 PM Hello all you idiots out there ... I I'm here, and have been approved (thanks GA and Whomp).
Coinich
Welcome aboard this ship of fools (Idiots). We're looking forward to your chroniccle. I'm the sire of Whomp. I mostly lurk.

Admiral Kutzov Oct 10, 2005, 07:53 PM Hi C. :bounce: :bounce: :salute: :worship: igor and I have trouble with real words
Coinich Oct 18, 2005, 02:06 PM I have begun the daunting process of weeding through the history this idiotic place, and will be attempting to slowly chronicle it here:
History Department: University of Simpleton (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=131692)
Admiral Kutzov Oct 18, 2005, 04:06 PM I feel we should leave the other thread for the Professor and post our comments here.
@ coinich - :worship:
Whomp Oct 18, 2005, 04:10 PM Rowena!! I think she's a trouble maker. I wonder if she knows Igor McKutzov?
Admiral Kutzov Oct 18, 2005, 04:18 PM I believe Rowena is a third cousin of igor on the maternal side. I believe she was the one who had the idea about using undergarments and wind to propel the casks during the wooden floatation device development
Whomp Oct 18, 2005, 04:22 PM  I'm not sure Professor MacLaren knows that story yet. Here it is. The floating cask experiment (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=3069308&postcount=1)
IroquoisPlisken Oct 18, 2005, 05:41 PM Great start, Coinich! :goodjob:
And nice use of the Rise of Nations university!
Daghdha Oct 19, 2005, 04:50 PM Far Out Bootsy:D . I've made a slight change.
Kickbooti Oct 19, 2005, 06:23 PM Thanks Dag. I was hoping that someone with more technological idiocy than me would make the changes. You 'da man! :goodjob:
gmaharriet Oct 19, 2005, 06:26 PM Between the two of you, it's looking very homelike. :D
Kickbooti Oct 19, 2005, 06:37 PM The discovery of the wheel has produced the first tenured prof. at Simpleton University...
