Help! What's causing the save to be wrong when I send it?

I'm starting a fresh load of Conquests 1.22
Multiplayer - PBEM
Mode - load game
Select the save that KISS sends
play it out
hit enter
select "save and send to next player" when the popup comes up
put in the new filename
email what it saved.

It worked right about 25 times so far, and was wrong twice. As a programmer I'd expect it to fail more often, or not at all...

You should put the saves in your C:/Program Files/Infogrames Interactive/Civilization III/Conquests/Saves/ directory (where you put the DG7 saves). I created a folder named MTDG just for those saves. Then, load C3C, hit "Load Game" on the main menu, double click on your save, enter password, do turn, hit "Save & Exit" and email it.

It seems you have been using the Multiplayer menu - not what you are supposed to be doing.

Sounds like the "multi-player" part of the equation is different from what I do Dave.

In my PBEMs, I use load game and I've never had this problem.

Hmm -- guess I just assumed that multi-player games had to be played in multi-player mode. :crazyeye:

Hmm -- guess I just assumed that multi-player games had to be played in multi-player mode. :crazyeye:That's for starting them (kicking them off). When continuing them there is no difference from normal loading games (except for the Password prompt).

I'm glad that's sorted out.
