How do i change so this shows up instead of techs.

Err, first you can only have that for an era that has NO techs (ie for a scenario only using 1,2 or 3 ages).
Then in your scenario folder, create a folder and give it the name of your scenario, create a folder Art inside, then a folder called "Advisors" inside.
Just to be sure, check how it works for the Conquests. Then copy from one of the conquests (in Advisors) the era picture that uses that symbol (ie "science_middle" in WWII Pacific), give it the name of the era you want and place it in your scenario name/Art/Advisors. It will then replace the existing one or ones if you want more than 1 age like that.

You need to got to "Script" txt in Scenario/Text (make a copy before !).
Do a search in the file for "TECH BLURBS" and here you go to modify them.

.... and of course it works !!!!!! ;)
