In the french Version, and i think it's true for others version, French city's name may be wrong (Lhyons instead of Lyon for example). How can I correct it?

View Full Version : How do I edit core rules of Civ? LAnkou Sep 13, 2005, 03:55 PM In the french Version, and i think it's true for others version, French city's name may be wrong (Lhyons instead of Lyon for example). How can I correct it? Arturus Sep 13, 2005, 04:02 PM Go into the CivEdit program, click custom rules, click yes to the warning. Click edit civilizations. On the screen that pops up there should be a list of city names. Edit at will I believe. WildWeazel Sep 13, 2005, 08:30 PM "core rules"? I thought you wanted to hack into the game! The screen you want is Civilizations. drzoidberg Sep 14, 2005, 01:41 AM "core rules"? I thought you wanted to hack into the game! The screen you want is Civilizations. But it would be nice to know. Some of the "Core" rules are really annoying. Nate1976 Sep 14, 2005, 03:48 PM "it would be nice to know" you mean, how to hack the game? Can't be don.e the best i've seen is the hacked editor, and that's out of date now with 1.29f Takhisis Sep 14, 2005, 04:06 PM Some of the "Core" rules are really annoying. Yes! Take, for example, the rule that states that whenever a file or even a civpedia icon is missing, the game goes out. In Sengoku, for example, they mixed up the pediaicons for Spanish and Italian. So, when I tried it after installation, the thing said that "cavallegero.ini" (the files for the 3.1.2 Horseman) was missing! A little while after that, I learned how to edit pediaicons entries and here I am. Well, thatīs how i started modding. Edit at will I believe. Yes you can do that, but it will be saved as a new scenario...or i may miss something.... Takhisis Sep 14, 2005, 04:51 PM Thereīs nothing to prevent you from saving it as whatever you like. WildWeazel Sep 14, 2005, 08:43 PM What he means is that when you save it, it won't replace the main C3C file, for safety reasons. You can replace it manually by pasting the new one over it to change the default, but DO NOT DO THIS unless you absolutely know what you're doing. In fact, don't do it at all. It's only a couple extra clicks to load your new game from the Civ-content menu. |
