Is it just me, or does alot of the Civ 4 anime look... like a kids game? Take for instance the Leaders, although the live action & varying moods is a excellent Idea, I can't help but laugh looking @ them, they are so.. childish. Also the 3D graphics, I think it's a good idea, but the way it's done, it looks like SimCity, I will be buying Civ4, Civ is the best game ever regaurdless of any flaws, but I can't help but think these graphics are taking away from the 'civ' & making something new...

I'm pretty sure Civ4 is not going to be an anime! :)

Civ 3 graphics were great because they looked, in my opinion, almost photorealistc. It's easier to make 2D images look photorealistic than it is with 3D CGI images. There is always going to be somewhat of an animated look with 3D unless you increase poly count and texturing to the point where you need a supercomputer to run it. Look at the cities in the most recent screenshots, though. The texturemaps are amazing!

The title is a bit misleading since i think you refer to the leaderhead animation, and not to Japanese Anime. ;)

As for your opinion, can't say that i would agree. Since i think so far everything in the Civ 4 preview's and screenshot's that i've seen look excelent and not Childish.

It would be cool if Civ three is turned into an anime!
