This is perfect for a canadian civ mod.

I'm just curious to what stats you would give such a unit? More defense than attack I suppose? They don't really go to war attacking other nations do they?

Wouldn't be great if it functioned as a true peace keeper and calmed down all the resiters when taking a city by force?

In fact the Blue Cask are a fast/defensive troop. So that mean they go to the land of war to protect what is important in others country.

Personnaly, i think the stat the most appropriate it is:
Attack: 5
Defense: 7
Movement rate: 3

I would love to see this...

Canada as a civ can send untis to ANY city from a civ it's not at war with. These will quell resistors.

Additional ideas

Have Canada be able to access a resource that is available to any city that Canada has peacekeepers

As well the host civ would have to pay the upkeep and a little more more for the unit.

Also add a chance for it to throw off it's current government and want to join Canada culturally

:)

That was pretty good artwork for a new unit and i wanted to use it for this mod that was creating but the animation is still incomplete. It moves around like a statue but the positions are all good. If it was complete it would be a very awesome unit to add so if you can complete it, plz post it.

The reason why i didn't animated them, it's because i dislike animation things. I like to see game with beautiful un-moved things. But if you want you can try to completed animation by indicating me as original and you as the animation maker.

Almost, i does these work for make happier the people who want to created modpack or great others. I try to stimulated people to created others things. It is always better to know the skill of others people.

(For the moment i'm currently translating Civ III in french. So i risk to have less time for creation. But when i will done the translation i will post it and start other creation.)

Yes, but you will need to save in the same format than others files of the same kind. Because, you may make unwanted transparancy by accident.

But you also need FlicSter.

You might get serious trouble by translating it... Some German guys started translating Civ 3 into German, but Infogrames forced them to stop when about 60% of their work was finished:(

You can read the full story here (http://heise.de/newsticker/search.shtml?T=civilization+%FCbersetzung) if you can read German.

I have to thank you for the information.

However, in case that Infogrames has distributed this game internationnaly, they have to work with international laws. So that mean, we have the right to translated it. But they're some restriction:

1- You don't have the right to translate the game at 100%, but you're always free to keep some menu who we doesn't seem often not translated. That will lead you to a respect of the international law about translation.

2- You have to specify that your only the translator by keeping the all creator credits for the game. Even those who has wrote the texte in the game in english.

3- You don't have the right to it commercial. However, about the distribution of the translation the people, need to have buy civilization III. So you can't give it to somebody who doesn't have buy the original version.

Thanks again and if you want you can advice the german translator about what i say.

A unit animation preview would be great.

Personally, I think this would make an excellent late-game unit with hidden nationality. Could make things interesting.

How did you get that far back in the Unit Graphics forum?

Anyways, it looks like the link is broken now, so it's probable that if you want this unit you'll have to request it (in the proper forum) since its doubtful that the creator will pick it back up after 3 years.

That has got to be the biggest :bump: ever, meh

Ordinarily I wouldn't hang around an old thread like this for so long, but it is just interesting to see what is lying around.
