aaglo Sep 24, 2005, 10:08 AM glad you like them :p
Supa Sep 24, 2005, 10:10 AM Oh, they're great. If they are small enough, I'll use them illico-presto!
Sildo Sep 24, 2005, 10:20 AM Looks great, was differnet then just hte normal ones.
Hrafnkell Sep 24, 2005, 10:22 AM Well doggone it, those are bee-u-ti-ful!
Yoda Power Sep 24, 2005, 11:30 AM Cool:thumbsup:
Are they for any particular mod?
aaglo Sep 24, 2005, 12:26 PM Not for any particular mod, but I made them with Warhammer Fantasy -mod in mind :)
Sword_Of_Geddon Sep 24, 2005, 01:14 PM How did you make them? Methinks a mesoamerican one could be seriously used by Redalert, Tria, and LastConformist for their three mesoamerican mods.
RedAlert Sep 24, 2005, 01:23 PM Those are a great replacement for the standard game, Aaglo. Thanks and good job.
Sword_of_Geddon - Indeed! That would be very useful.
aaglo Sep 25, 2005, 04:10 AM Mesoamerican ones? What do mesoamerican tech boxes look like? ;)
Sword_Of_Geddon Sep 25, 2005, 08:38 AM Hmmm...maybe the moss-covered mayan hieroglyphics or grey stone boxes and green borders.
Amesjustin Sep 25, 2005, 10:12 AM Great job as always Aaglo. Probably use them in the X-Mod. Hopefully I can get some unique ones made myself for the other 2 project.
aaglo Sep 26, 2005, 12:45 PM If you like better colour contrast, here are updates:

alireza1354 Sep 26, 2005, 12:49 PM Where does it go?
aaglo Sep 26, 2005, 12:52 PM #1 make a backup of the file called techboxes.pcx (it's located in folder Arts\Advisors)
#2 unizip this file to the arts\advisors folder of your choosing
#3 play the game :)
Sword_Of_Geddon Sep 26, 2005, 12:52 PM Are you the lead maker of the Warhammer mod Aaglo?
Scytale Sep 26, 2005, 12:53 PM Great job Aaglo! I already placed them into the WH mod. They are really great.
BadKharma Sep 26, 2005, 03:55 PM Hmmm...maybe the moss-covered mayan hieroglyphics or grey stone boxes and green borders.
I have some mayan hieroglyphs as pre-made shapes for PS if you want I could look into making some........they would probably look better with a new background also though......anyone know what pcx the background for the tech boxes is?
Sword_Of_Geddon Sep 26, 2005, 06:16 PM You could ask Tria I think thats his field, he made the Aztec diplo interface and is working on a complete interface.
Traianus Sep 27, 2005, 04:20 AM Just caught this thread too! I really should be paying more attention! As per usual, aaglo, your graphix work is seamlessly good. Looks like it should have been part of the vanilla game.
If you do decide to do mesoamerican boxes, you might have a look at my science advisor screen (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=3117209&postcount=53). I was planning on doing a whole interface but it won't be finished any time soon. At least not until Aztec is fully playable.
Once again, nice work! But I guess you know that already. ;)
Weasel Op Sep 28, 2005, 12:18 PM OOOOoooo.... nice.
aaglo Oct 01, 2005, 02:03 AM Yet another update included in the first post - this time the look is a bit different from the previous updates. As you can see

ansar Oct 02, 2005, 07:12 AM aaglo, how do I install them in the game?like, where do I put the file?
Pounder Oct 02, 2005, 07:26 AM They go in this folder:
C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III\Art\Advisors
Don't forget to backup your original.
ansar Oct 02, 2005, 08:22 AM Thanks pounder. :goodjob:
RedAlert Oct 02, 2005, 11:56 AM The new version is perfect! Again, great job.
Traianus Oct 10, 2005, 07:34 AM I put them into Aztec. You should see how they look with the special background, aaglo. They're fantastic! I'll post a SS tmrw.
Traianus Oct 11, 2005, 06:00 AM Here! Check it out...
ansar Oct 11, 2005, 06:11 AM Trainus, how do you have such an awesome Science Advisor?!:goodjob:
Traianus Oct 11, 2005, 06:26 AM It's part of my work in progress - The Aztec interface!
aaglo Oct 12, 2005, 12:27 AM Here are optional tech boxes, where the yellow (available techs) colour is replaced with red colour (they stand out a bit more with red colouring).

Righteous Fist Oct 12, 2005, 10:56 AM I like this design, I'm so tired of the old Civ style.
