View Full Version : Mapping the Idiots
Daghdha Sep 27, 2005, 11:35 AM Starting with B-e-F wondering what our opponents would map us as, I hereby invite every KISSer to map themselves. Then it's open for others to fill in where time has been gracious enough to shadow your memory  .
Beorn-el-Feared: Good tactics but overall ignorant screw-up, might hopefully lead them to stupid plans that'll lose the game
Whomp: goes under many aliases Whomper, Panda Boy, Whompee...once screwed up the ToE so bad in a SG that he ended up with fascism as his free tech. Major League Idiot.
Tubby Rower: manages to mine food bonuses in despotism :D
Daghdha:Big sign, small office. Sometimes starts a regent game "just to get even".
gmaharriet: wannabe (unlikely to be) strategic game thinker, aka the blind woman who can't see "red".
AK:   :crazyeye: :ar15:
Mistfit: Sorted SG & SGOTM history. Once devised a plan to give away a size 11 fully improved, 2nd ring, Industrial Age, city to the enemy. Also the bearer of many Wooden SGOTM Utensils. In short questionable player....but rather stylish.
Bede: pretentious, cantankerous, prolix, over analytical ass
Pentium: Capable of capturing a city with an overpowering SoD regardless of the fact that the enemy just captured half of his empty core.
Kickbooti: No discnernable skills. Tries to comment often enough that people don't notice he doesn't say anything. (Likes Temples, but knows enough to keep quiet about it.)
Bugs:Grumpy, ancient, mean, know-it-all who doesn't, a classic dope, let's hope they have this guy play a lot of the turns.
Own: Young grasshoppah, known for making silly stupid mistakes in SG's, too bad he hasn't played any turns.
Tomasz: The mysterious Barbarian Slav ... known also as Louis XVI after 1789 AD ( turn 356 )
Gozpel: Known for naming his first warrior Bubba. Also famous for his: "Just whack them. Whack'em all!
scoutsout: Second-hand warhorse; kicked out of class in GK2. Knows the difference between a calculated risk and a stupid gamble, but doesn't always care. Has lost more armies to culture flips than combat.

Whomp Oct 12, 2005, 02:14 PM OK that's it. Has anyone seen our recent additions to this club? We have now added..
--'Slinger Bear Down Slinger!...btw Daveshack started at U of A in 1980 too
--Our 3rd member of Mag 7+1 with Grahamiam,
--The too humble turnplayer from CDZ in Krys

--The crazy math genius French Canandian Bear in Beorn
--a happyidiot we don't even know yet
and

That's what I call quality drafting, as Coinich would say, sports fans!
POTKISS lets out a wicked :smug:  mhuhaha!!! Is my job in jeopardy already?
Daghdha Oct 12, 2005, 03:30 PM Quality drafting indeed Mr. Hoover :goodjob:
gmaharriet Oct 12, 2005, 06:51 PM Has anyone else noticed that scoutsout was posting (I think) yesterday? I don't know him at all and he left the board just about the time I joined, but I've read his posts in GK02 and Clive1, and it seems to me that he would be a valuable addition to our team. Just a thought....

I don't know him at all and he left the board just about the time I joined, but I've read his posts in GK02 and Clive1, and it seems to me that he would be a valuable addition to our team. Just a thought.... Yes we have already been PM'ing. We played quite a bit before. I'll check with him on status but I think he was just reminiscing.
Own Oct 12, 2005, 08:59 PM We just need Sirian, Dmanakho, DocTsiolkovski, gozpel, and DJMGator for a complete 7+1 team. Bede should PM of course.
Beorn-eL-Feared Oct 12, 2005, 09:12 PM genius French Canandian Bear in BeornNow someone's been watching fairy tales too much [pimp]
gozpel Oct 23, 2005, 04:40 PM Known for naming his first warrior Bubba.
Also famous for his: "Just whack them. Whack'em all!
Mistfit Oct 23, 2005, 05:38 PM Welcome goz...
Yours (and slingers) are two of my favorite (non-mistfitzian) avatars around :D
Own Oct 23, 2005, 05:41 PM I also like the title  .
gmaharriet Oct 23, 2005, 07:53 PM Welcome, gozpel! I like your "fuzzy wuzzy" sig. :D
Own Oct 23, 2005, 07:54 PM Seems like gozpel got a lot of (well deserved) praise on his entrance :D .
We have 4 of the magnificent 7+1. YES!
gozpel Oct 24, 2005, 02:14 AM Thanks guys :)
Avatar, title and sig are all a long search of identifying myself.
Avatar - is simply a mugshot of me when I try to figure out stuff in CIV. (I actually was very close to ask Mistfit to create something nicer than a horse. Then I stumbled on the one I have, in some forum in nowhere, and I just loved it :) ) It's me!
Title - Just to tell you how lazy I am most of the time ( and fortified means that the wife can't make me put the washing on the line.)
Sig - When the daughter found me picking some navel-lint a few years a go, and she pointed at it and said: Fuzzy-wuzzy. Damn if I know what they teach kids in school?
Pentium Oct 24, 2005, 07:24 AM By the time this game is over, we'll have more than half the (good) Civ3 players in our team :D
Now we have 4 magnificent, can somebody invite Sid? He would be a nice addition ...
Daghdha Oct 24, 2005, 10:30 AM If we survive the next 15 turns without being backstabbed by MIA we will be
-->Dancing Banana --->Springfield and -->Athens and it will be over before those players get the chans to sign up.
Admiral Kutzov Oct 24, 2005, 06:05 PM Now if only I'd get myself banned....

scoutsout Dec 31, 2005, 05:58 PM Also famous for his: "Just whack them. Whack'em all!Yup. I remember getting that "advice" once or twice! :p Here goes nothin'...
scoutsout: Second-hand warhorse; kicked out of class in GK2. Knows the difference between a calculated risk and a stupid gamble, but doesn't always care. Has lost more armies to culture flips than combat.

And also has made some brillant gambles pay off fabulously. I forget which game it was, but we had to be nice to all ladies and Joan tried to spank Scout. Scout handled it with great skill and little loss.

The League of Ordinary Gentlemen...great game to read!!! I really enjoyed that. :D
Mistfit Jan 01, 2006, 10:27 PM Scout handled it with great skill and little loss
To give you an inside look as to how the brain of a Mistfit works when I first read this in my mind it said "Scout handled it with great skill and a little toss"
I'm thinking he gave Joan a toss in the hay... :D
ah well selective dsylexia make for more enjoyable reading for me
Welcome to the team scout
scoutsout Jan 02, 2006, 08:16 AM I'm thinking he gave Joan a toss in the hay... :D:rotfl:
Actually, I gave her a nice big "hug" (completely surrounded one of her cities with assorted Modern Armor and Mech...)
IIRC, Joanie ended up in the Planetary Party Lounge with Bugsy, and was last heard dodging kitchen utensils. Meanwhile Bede took Isabella up to the cockpit to "show her his joystick"... or something like that... I somehow ended up down in the Storage/Supply with Cleo, breaking into a stash of  ah well selective dsylexia make for more enjoyable reading for meI hope you're not agnostic as well... Some people can only think inside the box. Others do their best thinking 'outside the box'. Rik, I think that move qualifies as thinking "under the box".
Sir Bugsy Mar 31, 2006, 09:49 PM And people wonder why we refer to Himself as "The Great Meleet"
Let there me no further wondering. :worship: :worship: :worship:
