Let's all hope that this time around, WE will also be able to tell the other civs what we think about them!!!!

I am frustrated to have lost my supply of Furs from the Byzantines   because of their ongong war with the Ottomans (history repeating itself  ), with Theodora smiling at me and being polite, and me being unable to tell her what I think about her (perhaps I could declare war or go for a trade embargo but I don't want to). I just want to express my fury at her.

It would be nice in diplomatic negotiations to be able to set a "tone" of your request/demand. MOO3 had it (and yes, I know it was a very crappy game), and it was darn good idea.

Yeah, CtPII had it too. It just adds a little sniff of life to diplomacy.

even just a little slider next to your options for diplomacy that you could set based on a topic...but not overall impression

for example
Furious-------hmph--------neutreal-------postive---------gleeful

I think better would be along with a happiness slider for the AI, if they had a "fear of you" slider, so that even if they were annoyed, if your army was 60x bigger, they wouldn't declare war

I'm hoping the AI in regards to army size and fighting wars has been improved.

The original idea in this thread is a great one. You would need to further customise AI personalities to decide how they are going to react in different situations e.g. are you currently friends, who has the bigger army, culture etc.

Mod-makers take note.

good Idea TheEndIsNigh. They will probably have this feature in multiplayer just as they did in Civ3 Multiplayer.

Hopefully. Personally, i never got why the AI, whom I just took all but three of their cities, will insist on violating my borders and declaring war when I tell them to leave.

This will be one of many improvements I plan on modding into the game - so long as it is exposed to Python...

Well, given that a fellow civs ' relative wealth' is a factor in diplomatic relations-for some leaders at least-I feel certain that relative military strength will also now factor in to relations. If you remember some of those diplomacy screenies, you can see that there are a very large number of different factors which will now play into AI attitudes-for good and ill-and I feel certain that we will be able to add to, and modify, these factors via python or the SDK!
