I am sure this has been asked millions of times, but I am having trouble finding the answer none the less. I haven't seen a FAQ on this.

While I know for certain that there will a PC version I am not sure what other platforms have been targeted for Civilizaion IV (Civ4) and what there planned release dates are? The platform that I am most interested in is MacOS X.

I had hoped to play Civ3 in the meantime but they want $59CAD (vs $29CAD for Civ3 complete for the PC) for it and it does not even include any expansion packs or any networking support :( I m really hoping for a Mac release of Civilization 4 not long after the PC version.

haven't seen any information on a coming mac-version of civ4. but it is most probably a question of when, not if, a mac version will arrive.

some weeks ago, though, there was a guy from Aspyr posting in the mac forum looking for beta-testers to civ3 complete. so the complete expansion pack to civ3 is on the way it seems. a guess would be that this release of civ3-complete will delay the release of civ4 (for commercial reasons) by a couple of months.

No official info is available on a Mac port, but all previous major versions have been ported, and Macs are getting more popular now, so why wouldn't we get Civ4?.

I think a delay of a few months would be welcome, while the PC early adopters rush in and find the bugs. Hopefully we can then have a cleaned up version on the Mac.
