View Full Version : A different, consistent, repeatable crash

I have experienced a different, non war-related crash which can be reproduced on (so far) 5 different machines ranging from Pentium 2 to Pentium 4, all with huge ram and other specs.

The crash occurs as my civilization moves into a period of unhappiness. While cycling through the cities reporting the unhappiness, the game crashes with a paging fault. It happens no matter what different options I try (eg raising luxuries to 100%).

Some people mentioned corrupt saved game files. How can I tell if my saved game is corrupt or whether this is a genuine bug?

Veni, Vidi .... I want my Vici

Does it crash on the AI's turn. Try copying the patch directly into the Civ file then re-execute.
