Strider Oct 17, 2005, 06:23 PM On a bad note, Team KISS passed us.
Uhh, exactly what does this mean? They passed us in what? Do you mean there boat passed us? How is that bad?
Provolution Oct 17, 2005, 06:30 PM I mean, their points passed us, we are not leading anymore.
I guess they got two setler pumps up, and they expand like wildfire.
All we can do is to develop a series of quality cities and a great coastal defense.
Luckily, the palace relocation gives us more production over time.
donsig Oct 18, 2005, 08:44 AM I have a couple concerns, both short and long term:
We have an unescorted settler one tile in front of a mini-stack of immortals. There are barbarians and Iroqi warriors on the loose. Perhaps it would be wise to let the immortals catch up to the settler...
Is our second worker in the stack with the the immortals?
Speaking of the immortals, if we really use them to beat up on the Iroqi won't we initiate our golden age? I think we should hold off on that until we have more cities. I realize we are still quite a few turns away from reaching Iroq but it doesn't seem as though we'll have grown all that much by the time we're able to start a golden age.
We should take this into consideration when deciding on whether we should have peace with Iroq...
As for Xerxes, it is difficult to decide what he should do now. Stick to the forest for protection and move southeast to see more Iroqi territory or move to intedict the road...
Provolution Oct 18, 2005, 10:04 PM I am still for hitting Iroq and initiating the Golden Age. We may need that now to get a leg up in the game. It is worth that to stop Iroq permanently.
Remember, we need to take them out now, not later.
The worker is in that stack yes.
Settler will be safe, there are no barbs south, and immortals will kill all they meet.

I'm still for delaying the Golden Age as much as we can. Four immortals may not be enough to conquer the Iroqi - but they may be enough to cripple them by pillaging (especially to deny them key resources). We cannot stop them from attacking our immortals perhaps we can delay the Golden Age until we have a few more cities up and running...
donsig Oct 25, 2005, 01:05 PM Yes, the war resumes... Xerxes is now just across the river from Springfield. The donuts' capital is defended by a regular warrior! An attack by Xerxes would most likely fail but there are a couple good pillaging targets - an irrigated cow tile and a wines tile. (See the screenshot in the played turns thread.) So which do we have Xerxes pillage?
