When I create a scenario can I designate position for each civ to start at? It is clear that player start positions can be posted on a created map, but I don't see any provision for designating which civ player is to start at each point.

Has anyone posted instructions on how to create scenarios?

A caveat: I've had the game less than a week.

I, too, have seen the starting position in the map editor. I believe (by replaying the same map and always starting on the same square, regardless of civ choice) that they are assigned spots based on the order the starting positions are given. That is, the first start position is for the player, the second for the first AI opponent, etc.

This might be wrong, but some trial and error led me to this...

I'm pretty sure it is randomized, but then again I am just a humble servant...

It is definetely random, at least for now. Firaxis needs to poop out another patch soon.
