I am having trouble reinstalling Civ 3 Complete. The reason I need to reinstall it is that my sister got angry at me (and she know's how much I like civ 3) and started randomly deleting files. So I did a manual uninstall, delete everything in Firaxis folder by left clicking and deleting it, and I removed the registry entries.

Now when I try to reinstall it I almost get done then it stops and after about 5 minutes an error message pops up that says:

"Error 1305. Error reading from file C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Civilization III Complete\Sounds\build\IndModern\IndMEFull.mp3.

Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.


My first thought was that the CD was damaged, but upon examination of the CD(s), there are no scratches whatsoever, and it is kept at low humidity at around 65 degrees.

Any ideas as to what is wrong?
