its basically a gamer's version of AIM. allows you to see what games your friends are playing and how to play with them

Xfire is awesome. IMO, THE best IM service out there..... at least for gamers. I still keep IMs like MSN and Yahoo for general purposes, but Xfire trumps all when you're a frequent gamer.... particularly multiplayer games.

As for me, my Xfire is the same as my username here... andy52584. Although I'll consider a few MP games, it wont be for a while after I get the game. I prefer jumping into SP and learning the ropes first.

yeah. i love xfire except that i just don't play many games long enough to develop any kind of group of people i play with, hopefully that will change with Civ 4 and i can get a core group of friends that play.

I'm just going to play ladder MP games.
