Last night at around midnight, my bank account had a "Pending Transaction" for $49.99 from GameStop.
I just checked 2 mins ago, and it's GONE!

Anyone else have the same thing happen?! I hope they didn't think they would get more stock in than they did....

"processing" probably means just that...they haven't got the game in to ship it.

settle down- I worked for a credit card company and most likely what you saw was their "auth" against your card- so the have those funds secured for when they ship it- then they submit the actual charge to your credit card.

your pending transaction disappeared because it's no longer pending. it's probably turned into an actual which you won't see til tomorrow.

I called Gamestop (online store) and had the following conversation....

Q: Is it shipping today?
A: Yes, it's shipping today
Q: You said that yesterday
A: I know, none shipped yesterday, they are all shipping today
Q: You are sure?
A: Yes, I have gotten 10 calls this afternoon on this game, it is shipping today.

they dont have it till tommorow, maybe that has to do with it?

I like the way the "BONUS" version on their site no longer shows the preorder edition. I wonder if they ran out.

I also worked for a credit card bank (MBNA, actually,) and I can confirm this. The initial authorization was just to verify that you had available credit. You'll often see the same thing happen with self-pay gas pumps -- except the amount will often be for something like $5.00 regardless of how much you purchase. They just want to make sure the account is valid and that credit is available.

I agree, same thing is happening to me. Although, I did just get an e-mail telling me it will most likely ship today, and I will receive my UPS tracking number by e-mail once it does. This is the order I was trying to cancel because I wanted free shipping. ;)

why are u buying games from gamestop? you claimed u were an "employee" of ebgames, so get it from where u work. unless u are just lying about everything and trying to sound important claiming to work at ebgames.

my status remains open on my EB order a phone call to them resulted in them telling me it is being processed and shipped tonight -one hand still doesnt know what the other is doing sighs there is now a icon of a box with the lid open below it is a previous order from 2 weeks ago which shows a closed box with lines around it and the word shipped. so maybe it is being processed

My Gamestop order just went to "shipped" status a few minutes ago.

Yes my order at Gamestop has also shipped, jubiii its on its way to Denmark, should have it Thursday :) .

I remember I had a game delayed (Diablo 2) by a day, because some doofus trucker hit a telephone pole.

Well I don't get as bent out of shape as I used to when I was an Xbox addict.

I just remember the Madden 2004 fiasco at Gamestop.

Short story is: game was supposed to be in on such and such day(a midnight on a Tues.)....people waited in line....no game that night.....came within a hairsbreadth from a full scale riot from people waiting. EB ended up with it that night....mass exodus to EB that night....just enough games to go around...problem solved. That gamestop lost A LOT of business after that.
