I am so depressed -- can you help me?

When I start the game, it insists I insert disk one, which I do. It lets me go all the way through the play now line until the leader page, and then crashses the whole computer.

I called the support line -- they told to exchange the disks at the retailer-- which I did. Still, same problem


I am a recently coverted Mac user. Please help me Obi-won, you're my only hope.

I bet it's because our computers can't handle it.

I'm afraid the pc gaming world has passed me by forever.

If you have Alcohol 120% or the like running, the piece of **** copy protection they decided to use refuses to run. Who gets punished? Legit users. I'm downloading the crack now just so I can run it :( Boy, am I glad I pre-ordered 3 months early for the special edition!!!

Yeah, alcohol helps me hallucinate that the game runs on my system as well. Good call.

If you haven't done so (really for any game or install, not just CIV4):

In your Windows Task Manager, turn off all programs running in the background. ie. Yahoo Messenger, WinZip, Norton AntiVirus, especially programs like Alcohol or AnyDVD. You are just asking for problems if you don't.
