But I can describe it. My laptop runs cIV just fine other than a sound hiccup but my considerably more powerful desktop seems to have a problem. When I hit play on the autorun it goes through its little thing init xml, python ect. but when it gets to engine it makes a bonk noise in the background but nothing happens. When I click in the area that it had just said init Engine a little window comes through that says error on the top of it but the center never fills in to tell me the problem. I am not nearly as comp savvy as I was with old comps and I have no idea what the problem is if anyone can help I would really appreciate it.

What's the coputer's stats? If it has an ATI card, that may be the problem. Civ4 is pretty buggy as of now and won't run on some ATI cards for some reason.
