:mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: I have tryed ti install, uninstall and reinstall botht he game and the DX9. I always get 'A Cabinet file necessary fir installation cannot be trusted." with the Dx 9, then it says instaltion failed. I tryed it going into the direct x folder from the CD as well. VERY FRUSTRATED. I will never buy another Sid Meier or take 2 or civ game again. I will make it my life mission to tell everyone I meet about thist screwed up POS. Anyone have any ideas??

I found the .dll file I needed online and installed from there, for some reason the one on the CD would not work. I'm ok now.

where can I download the .dll file?
oh, and the problem was microsoft, not the game. people are having a lot of trouble with other games, mainly The Sims 2.
