View Full Version : New Rule.
CornMaster Jan 02, 2002, 10:03 AM Currently there is no rule for when we can change country names, or flags.
I propose Rule Change #1 which reads:
"Nation Name and Flags can only be changed once the government of our nation is changing."
Basically....if we go from Monarchy to Republic, then we can change flags and nation name....otherwise, we can't.
Vote Yea if you are in favor of this rule.
Vote Nea if you are opposed. This will leave no rule (regarding national name and flag switching) in place.
Vote Abstain is you have no opinion either way.
spycatcher34 Jan 02, 2002, 10:58 AM I dont think we should change it. There is no real need to. I like the name and flag as is.

Its "nay" CM
Bah....I'll fix that.
It's not a proposal to change the flag. It's just the option of putting a rule on it. So it can only be done at certian times. As of now...there is no rule.....which means if someone wants to...and there is enough support...then it happens.
This rule just limits when it can be done.
Pellaken Jan 02, 2002, 06:15 PM at my youth parliament, once, one member said
"so, when we vote, we will have to say Hay or Nay?" then realise his error. everyone laughed. luckley, I chimed in with a "this is a bill, not a horse!"
...
its one of those "you had to be there" moments.
H Tower Jan 03, 2002, 11:57 PM Your vote on the aboption of Rule Change #1
i believe that should be adoption:scan:
duke o' york Jan 04, 2002, 02:48 AM And I thought that Lefty was the one obsessed with spellcheckers!
Can we please stop pointing out Cornmaster's typing errors and actually discuss the proposed introduction of a new rule.
Alcibiaties of Athenae Jan 04, 2002, 09:59 AM I would heed the Duke's words, if I were all of you....
:satan:
I'll vote for flexibility, just as a democratic option, and favor the rule change.

Ummm wouldn't voting for flexibility cause you to be against the rule change? This rule will restrict the times when we can change the name and flag to only coincide with a government change in the game.
I don't really see a need for it since if someone comes up with a really good idea I think most people will want to implement it right away.
CornMaster Jan 05, 2002, 10:04 AM Well...the Polls time has elasped (2 days) and with a turn out of only 18 people less then 50% of our nation....it seems that this rule will be adopted.
Thank you for your input.
For the record....I voted Abstain.
TheDuckOfFlanders Jan 05, 2002, 07:35 PM I voted nay ,indeed we should keep such thing's flexible through the game.
Pellaken Jan 06, 2002, 08:23 AM I voted nay for the same reason
