I'd like to see what FPS I am getting so that I can find out what options actually increase my performance. How is everyone getting their FPS numbers? is it an external tool or something in civ4?

As it is, the game is way too sluggish to play enjoyably. Commands all have a lag and scrolling is very slow.

amd64 2800+
geforce fx 5900
some onboard audio
1g ram.

i see people in the forums all posting their FPS they are getting.
can someone share how to get that info?
