Can anyone here play online? I know many have problems logging on/creating an account, but I had the same problems with RoN. I got around it by starting multiplay up through the Gamspy Arcade program, but Gamespy Arcade doesn't even recognize Civ4 as a supported game when I start my computer.
Did Civ4 ship without any kind of multiplayer?

I bought the game on Wednesday, and multiplayer worked just fine.
Today, I can't log on. Gives me a "The connection to the game browsing server has failed." message.
And I have no idea why.

I've not actually played online yet, but did logon to the browser just fine. (For some reason, it didn't recognize my account from Gamespy, but I was able to create a new one with the same login information and same email, and since then have been able to login fine.)

I've been able to play online, using direct IP. From past experiences with GameSpy, I'd avoid that service. I don't even have GameSpy installed. With direct-IP, all everyone needs is the IP number of the host, who then opens the port.
Two nights running it has worked flawlessly, though I've only tried with one other person connecting. No sync problems or anything else.

I haven't tried gamespy either, but after opening 2056 port I played direct ip for some time now with one other computer on my local network and a friend across town. No problems what so ever. In fact it's amazingly good!
