Hi.

btw I am complete newbie at this, so I have a few questions.

1. How com you use the Rise of Nations or Age of Empires (etc) units in Civ 3 (I mean, how do you create one that looks the same and moves the same etc)?

2. I am trying to make a mod where once you have captured the enemy capital, you can train their units. I thought of using resources to do this, eg: you will find a resource "Turkey" under Istanbul (which will be required for Sipahi), however, there are two problems here: How do you make / add resources, and how can you stop them being traded?

1. Ask Steph (see, for example, http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=62424)

2. In the Editor, edit "Natural Resources", press "Add", fill in the details. Don't bother with an icon IMHO -- just an "invisible" "Turkey" resource under Istanbul is what I would do -- and I don't think the AI will trade a one-of-a-kind resource (would it trade away, say, its only oil?).
